College football fans: how's your team look?

Yeah, as much as it pains me to say it, one cannot argue with the results. It would be more gratifying to see an SEC team get its ass kicked in the BCSNCG (for example, a repeat of the Utah - Alabama bowl game of 2 years ago, but on a larger stage) than to be left out and whine about it endlessly (eg, Auburn 2004).

You got that right. I count this as a victory over Texas! Go Bears!

No, Florida is still ranked higher than them. OSU has lost to Boise State and TCU, which are both in the top ten. Then they beat a top ten team in Arizona. Florida has no wins of that quality. They lost to LSU and got blown out by then #1 Alabama (who doesn’t deserve to be ahead of South Carolina any more than Florida deserves to be ahead of Oregon State).

Badgers 31 Ohio State 18.

Wooooooot!!!

Oregon is likely to move up to #1 while being idle this week. Boise State should slide into #2.
If you can, try to check out Colin Kaepernick and the Nevada Wolfpack take on Hawaii tonight. They’re really fun to watch.

Let’s pretend I first said this tonight. I can’t count.

Ouch… that was embarrassingly painful to watch!

The season is now dead to me, too.

My Sooners are atop the initial BCS rankings. Traditionally, that’s not a good place for them to be.

Oh, buck up. Stomping the Sun Devils will put you right back in the proper frame of mind.

I think we only have one more stomping left this season, and it’s Wash St. I think we’ll be embarrassed by the Sun Devils. And we’ll be sitting in the rain… (That reminds me of the Holmoe years. How depressing!)

Denard went from a Heisman QB to a high school QB in 2 weeks. Michigan is tough to figure out because the Big !0 has some brutal teams. They may not have the top 10 teams in the country, but they have several not far off.
So I go to my backup team, MSU. State is undefeated, and skips Ohio state this year. They may ooze into the end of the season with no losses. They have a balanced offense, and a pretty decent defense. But historically they have found incredible inventive ways of losing games. So every game makes you wonder if they can blow it.

Betcha a million zillion dollars. We’ll be fine on Saturday…although perhaps wet.

Michigan State had a lackluster first half against Illinois, but the Illini have one of the best run defenses we’ve seen this year. Now we leave the state for the first time this year, heading to Northwestern for what seems to be a blowout. It’s almost like a fall chore- rake leaves, check. Beat Northwestern, check. After that, on to Iowa for the toughest remaining game. Should MSU survive that challenge, 12-0 is likely. The planets aren’t quite aligned to make the title game yet, but having the Rose Bowl as your fallback plan isn’t all that bad.

I’ll bet you $5. You sit in section DD? 'Cause I’m gonna come and collect.

EE. And I’ll even give you 3 points.

Seriously, have you joined the “Fire Tedford” mob with pitchforks and torches?

So glad the kids at Camp Randall did a better job of storming the field than when we messed it up big time back in 1993. I almost didn’t care that the Packer season continued its slow motion crash on Sunday. Now…if Bielema could just get one big ROAD victory…the schedule computers in Chicago did us no favors in putting OSU & Iowa back to back…
