College Football November and early December 2009

Probably after Texas beats Bama. That would close out this cock up of a season nicely.

What the hell do they put in your moonshine down there?

Roll Tide!

Tebow Tears. They turn into wine, you know. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ah, two sentences. Better watch out, Jesus might come for you next.

Ok, that made me chuckle. Nice one.

You know, I actually am OK with Alabama, and agree that the SEC is usually pretty good. But God I hope Bama does another BCS face-plant this year, just so I can post a link back to this one.

So does Cincinnati leapfrog TCU now, since TCU was idle (I think) and UC has a better strength of schedule ranking? Seriously, if you look at both team’s schedules its clear that Cincinnati has beaten better opponents. TCU’s biggest claim is that they blow a lot of crappy teams out. Whom have they played that’s really all that? Utah? Air Force (whom they barely beat)?

In my fantasy world, Nebraska defeats Texas and Cincinnati plays Alabama for the title.

And wins.

Well, the good news is that Texas is getting beaten up by the Nebraska defense. The bad news is that the Nebraska offense kind of sucks.

TCU’s biggest win is blowing out BYU by 31.

BYU is ranked #14 (ahead of any of Cincinnati’s wins) and has a win over Oklahoma.

Second biggest win was Utah, third was winning on the road at Clemson.

I do think that Cincinnati winning on the road at Oregon State was more impressive than any of those, but Pitt was extraordinarily overrated all year, so their schedules are about even. TCU just looked more dominant with theirs.

FoieGrasIsEvil: For once, I agree with you…I would LOVE to see Cinci play for a national title and win it. Unfortunately, for those of us who want a playoff, that would be the worst thing for a playoff scenario, as BCS backers would say ‘see, the system works!’ Even though two other undefeateds were shut out of a chance to play for a title.

How would that in any way back the current system?

The whole system is bunk anyway since they had fucking co-national champs a few years back. If you have a national title game, the winner is the champion god damn it!

I am disagreeable?
:frowning:

kind of sucks? Nebraska’s offense is barely high school quality. This is just awful football when they’ve got the ball. It’s inept.

On the other hand, their defense is playing stellar.

Hell of a fight on HBO right now. Flipping back between the rounds.

Funny doing the exact same thing, hellacious fight, Tex-Neb too dull for words esp. when Neb has the ball.

How can a professional athlete(fighter), be over 6 ft 2 and weigh 147?

No question. When I wrote that it was early first quarter. Saying they kind of suck now is like saying diarreha kind of smells. That offense is pathetic.

But as you say, defense is handling McCoy extremely well. I think his Heisman is slipping away.

And if they beat Texas with four field goals…

Why Musberger, the dullest and most somnambulistic voice in announcing.

That sucked. What a crap game. Texas has no place being in the championship.
