I’m not currently enrolled as a student, but I’m planning on taking the first actuarial exam this fall, so I’ve got some studying to do. If I had a course list, it would look like this:[ul][li]Probability[]More Probability[]Even More Probability[/ul]Should be fun.[/li][/QUOTE]
Good luck. I’ve been there. I feel your pain.
Do you mean that you’re probably a freshman, or that those are probably the courses you’ll be taking as a freshman?
Ok, finally finished my scheduling. I’ve got:
Sociology 131 - The Family
Soc 140 - Stratification
UWP 101 - the required upper-division writing course
Military Science 22 - Intermediate Military Leadership and Operations
no, I’m not in ROTC, I just take the classes for low unit electives (I’ve already taken military history and military organization)
I started last week.
Biostatistics
Organic Chemistry (2nd sem.)
Writing in the Sciences (required to write thesis)
Physics: Optics and Magnetism
BM-311 - Management Information systems
SC-100 - Discovery Natural Sciences (damn GenEd!)
BK-453 - International Marketing
BE-251 - Business Statistics
plus, a 40 hr/week co-op at a fort with the same name.
This is my fourth year of college, but it’s going to take me five to graduate, thanks to my Spanish minor and my freshman year spent thinking I’d be a theatre major. Ha! I also tested really high on the placement exams, and so was able to sweet-talk myself into 300 and 400 level classes my sophomore year, but now I have to take a bunch of intro classes anyway. Boo-hiss.
This semester I’m taking:
Eng 206: Brit Lit I
Eng 251: Classic Myth and Legend/Source Literature – This is supposed to be a phenomenal class and the instructor is one of the most beloved on campus.
Spanish 252: Intermediate Spanish/fourth semester – At long last, after this class I will be able to start on the 16 credits needed for my minor. Let’s see if I can do it in three semester, eh?
Speech 110: Fundamentals of Speech – Gen req. Bastards.
I’m also the copy editor for the campus newspaper this year, and the newspaper advisor wants me to take the copy editing class in the journalism department and another in the English department on feature writing. If I take both of those however, then I’ll be taking 19 credits this semester which is too many.
The semester starts on the fifth. I’m half looking forward to it and half dreading it. I want to be done now, dammit. I’m really tired of half-assing my English classes and getting A’s.
For MWF, my classes don’t start 'til two! On T/Th, I do have a nice, early 9:30 class, but that’s my only class for the day. As long as I can manange being awake for the two hours required to brush my teeth, get to class, participate in class, and get back to my bed, I’m alright. I think I should at least tie with you for good schedules.
ahem I don’t have any classes at all on Fridays, and my classes start at 11 on all other days.
[sub]Nevermind that I have office hours for the newspaper at 11 on Fridays.[/sub]
I just signed up for another class - Beginning Spanish 101. I took French in HS for a few years (and don’t remember any of it), and my SO is thinking about retiring/moving to Costa Rica someday, so I knew I wanted to take it, but the beginners classes fill up fast at my school - I looked today for some reason and there was one spot open that fit in my schedule! W00t!
I’ve vacationed in Mexico so I know cerveza (beer, right?) but that’s about it.
Maybe it is because I am an older student and I commute, but I like scheduling my classes as early in the day as possible (love those 8 AM classes!) and getting them over for the day. Parking is better at 8AM too.
Nope. I do. My classes all start at 6:30 p.m. I don’t have to be at work until 1.

Here’s mine:
Differential Equations
Circuit Analysis II
Digital Systems Design
Physics
…
I guess that’s it, but it seems like more with all the labs I have sprinkled throughout the week.
I was until last year. (I didn’t finish. And I still live in the neighborhood)
Thinking of going back but to UCLA…
