(High school/college) Post you class schedule for this year

I’m going to be a junior in high school. My schedule is:

AP English
AP United States History
Global History
Geometry
Chemistry
Spanish II (might be Art I or Publications I)
Computer Applications II (might be Publications I or Art I)

I wish I had more AP classes.

What’s your schedule?

Senior is college, taking the following courses:

Human Physiological Systems
Biomechanics
Commercializing Biotechnology
Biomedical Engineering Lab
Intro. to Finite Systems

Think you can guess my major?

(Of course, all this is in addition to my undergraduate research in a lab, my editorship in a school publication, Vice President of my fraternity, acting in the theatre group…oh man, what a packed semester this will be.)

College Senior

Spanish 1B
Fantasy and Sci Fi in Literature
Ethnic Literature
Literature for young adults
Literature and self-reflection

Much of the classes I’ve took for the past year have been Literature survey classes. Its kind of nice, school is more of a continuous ‘book club’ type arrangement than conventional lectures, labs, notes, etc.

I’ve been going easy on myself and let myself slack off in school. Last years grades were very disappointing for me and it is the reason I want to repeat Spanish. Can I get straight A’s? Hell yes, but I have to think about my goal and work toward it every minute of every day this semester.

Hey, I’m gonna be a junior in high school, too.

However, I don’t have my schedule yet–we get them on the first day. If all goes well, they won’t have screwed it up, but as it is, I will probably have to have a fight with the counsellors to fix it.

Gonna be a senior in HS. Was just up at the school today bitching them out, because they screwed my schedule up big-time. It should be:

Theory of Knowledge (actually before school. Grrrr.)
Guidance aide
Math SL IB
English HL IB
PE/Health
Spanish SL IB (this was down on my schedule as 11th grade HL French. Uh…good try, I guess…)
History HL IB
Bio SL IB (2 periods! Every day! Aack!)

When do you all start classes again? We start Sept. 4. I’m definitely ready for school to start again (summer’s boring by now), but I’m so not looking forward to a 7 AM class every morning. Gonna be a rough change, going from getting up at 10 AM to at about 5 AM…

College freshman

English 101
Humanities 101
Sociology 101
Psychology 101

A rather light schedule this semester, but it’s intended for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college next fall.

High School Senior

Taxidermy I/II
Concurrent Credit Honors English
Government
Coed PE (Woo! One of 5 girls in a class of 35!)
AP Calculus
Physics
Teacher Aide

Today was only my 4th day back and I can already tell that this is gonna be a LLLOOONNNNNGGG year!

TeenSthrnAccent is a Junior in high school. His schedule is

Swimming
US Hist AP
PreCalc H
Swimming
Desktop Publ
English III
Market Yourself
Physics H
Spanish III

He’s quite irritated over the class called Market Yourself because it wasn’t something he picked. I read the course description and really it sounds like a useful course for fall semester of junior year. It’s about filling out applications, making a resume, interviewing, giving oral presentations, how you choose to be who you are and making that something you do aware rather than letting it happen, also it sounds like they spend time working on college essay writing skills. I think it looks like a helpful class to take since he’ll start selecting and applying to colleges after winter break. He’s decided he wants out though.

He’s kinda iffy about the Desktop publishing, but it fulfills his last technology credits and he did list it among his selections for the year.

High school senior.

AP English Literature & Composition
AP Spanish
AP Statistics
Philosophy/American Government (I wanted AP US History, but it wouldn’t fit in my schedule)
AP Physics
Gym/physics lab/study hall
Wind Ensemble (aka band)

It’s okay… I wish I got the history I wanted, though. I’m going to be so bad at Philosophy.

2nd year college student

History of Western Philosophy
Art History/Appreciation
Algebra 2
Principles of Economics
Survey of American Literature

(I miss high school sooo much)

College Junior, just transferred to English from Journalism.

British Romantic Judaism
Advanced Exposition
The Romantic Period
Shakespeare

Though I’ll probably be dropping that first course for something different. It’s my first semester as an English major and I don’t want to overload myself.

I’m a 2nd year engineering student.

1st Semester:

Mechanics
Management of Experimental Data
Differential Equations and Computer Methods
Materials Science and Engineering
Engineering Physics Laboratory
Philosophy: Fundamental Questions

2nd Semester:

Complex Analysis
Engineering Electricity and Magnetism
Thermodynamics
Applied Physics
Fluid Mechanics II
Engineering Physics Laboratory
Philosophy: Fundamental Questions

3rd year in college. Man, it feels like I wasted the first two.

British Literature Post-1800
Intro to Logic
Intermediate Fiction Workshop
Javanese Dance

A lighter semester to make up for that absolute killer I had this spring.

3rd year Philosophy/Religious Studies Major:

Intro to Logic
Greek Philosophy
Ethics in Contemporary Society
Eastern Philosophy

3rd year Computer Science / Business major

Fall
Elementary University Physics I
Exploring Planet Earth
Basic Marketing
Object-Oriented Software Engineering
Programming Paradigms

Winter
Elementary University Physics II
The Dynamic Earth: Plate Tectonics
Telecommunications: A Management Perspective
Design and Analysis of Algorithms I
Advanced Topics in Computer Science

MEDC 6000 - Seminar in Media Communications.

In other words, I’m one class (read: thesis) away from my master’s - heehee.

I’m going into my Junior year of high school.

AP Computer Science AB
AP Calculus BC
AP Honors English 11
AP Latin 4
AP Physics
AP European History

Yes…six APs, going to be a tough year. I might not end up taking the Latin 4 AP.

2nd year of college:

Anatomy & Physiology I
Trig based Physics
American Lit I & II (two hour class, counts for both credits)
Elementry Satistics

4th year Biochemistry major with a Zoology minor

Fall
Introduction to Biochemistry
Alexander the Great
Beginning Japanese continued
Genetics Laboratory

Spring
Introduction to Biochemical Methods
Advanced Biochemistry
Intermediate Japanese
Senior Project - Environmental Chemistry

The high school junior in our house started school today. Her schedule looks like this:

College Algebra/Trig
Spanish IV
Physics H
History and Thought of Western Man
(two year combined English and History, Honors)
Psychology
AP American Studies (two hour class, English and History)
She wanted to wait and take Physics next year, so this year wouldn’t be so overwhelming, but there wasn’t anything else she could fit in there that would really be worth the time. Add three varsity sports to that and it could be a long year.
