We missed many people but the few that gathered we had fun.

Athena, where the freak were you? We were waiting on you!

SingleDad is kind and a gentleman I can’t say more than that…!

Lexicon has a freaking awesome woman…damnit we will go for a beer I wanna hang out with you and Chris more…too bad SingleDad isn’t in the same city I am sure we could make this a regular thing! Oh and Santi…you are a damn good person yourself!!! Despite his bold postings, he’s a fucking sweety!

Cynical…well, he just a sweetheart and we had great conversation while we all sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful warm night. Cynical, you jam my man :kiss:

Germ Boy, although you had to leave early, you still remind me of a guy I know from my client’s office…I swear, you two could pass as twins! Hey ladies,he’s a cutie.

And to SingleDad, thanks so much for offering me your couch, you are kind hearted and sweet. Hugs for you hun!

All in all it was an intimate affair, we chatted about all kinds of things and even passed my cell phone around when the HouDopers called! Sounds like they were having as good a time as we were!

I am happy and stronger by knowing my fellow Colorado Dopers, lets do it again soon!
Kisses and hugs to all my Colorado doper friends…damn it was like we all knew each other with no hesitation!

*SingleDad ------ you deserve an extra special kiss and hug for your hospitality. If I didn’t have to work today I would have kept your ass up all night talking about the moon, the stars and who deserves to be president :wink:

Where the freak was I? Where the freak were you? I was at the Wynkoop from about 4:20 to 6:00. I told the bartenders/hosts upstairs and down that I was waiting for the “Cecil Adams” party. See my post below about being set up! What happened?

Well that’s just a trip.

I got there around 5:15 or so…give or take some time.

Had a couple of beers with SingleDad and GermBoy and then I forced SingleDad to go to the desk for the restaurant part to tell them about us and I even spoke with the waitress about it.

Dangit Athena, I am sorry you missed us!!!

Well, next time we meet, bring a quarter and call one of us! There will be a next time I assure you.

Wow, that’s so weird. I’m tempted to call the Wynkoop to bitch at someone. I definately checked with the desk downstairs, in the restaurant area, twice between about 5:15 and 6:00. They told me noone had been there either looking for “Cecil Adams” or under the name the “Adams party.” I had actually made a point to tell the guy that I was the Adams party, and I was upstairs in the bar.

This was the desk that you see when you walk into place off of 18th street. Is that where you left the name?

I just called and spoke to the manager at the Wynkoop. I told him the story, and he asked me for the time period I was there, and a description of the person I talked to in the restaurant area (short, blond haired young guy). The manager was very apologetic about the whole thing, and promised me he was going to look into it, and thanked me profusely since so many people wouldn’t have bothered to call. Plus, he’s sending me some “Brew Bucks” good for free beer! Maybe we should all try again sometime, and spend those bucks.

Grrrrrr… not much the manager really could do to make up for missing you all, but free beer is probably about the best try I could think of.

It was wonderful hanging out with Germ Boy, techchick 68, Lexicon + 1, and Mr. Cynical. I have to say I’ve never met a group like that and had so much fun! We shall have to do it again soon!

MMMmmm… is this Monday??

It was a blast and I realized as I peeled out on 17th St.: Crap, I stiffed those guys!! Someone send me a reasonable approximation of what I owe (4 brews and half the nachos Dad and I devoured) and I’ll dispatch the monies. Yeah, the check’s in the mail.

What a cool cadre! I’m sorry I had to split early but what I saw was intruiging enough to make me want more.

And, my daughter’s prom went off w/o a hitch and I was sleepless in Denver yesterday. No hallucinations, damn!
