Colorado Super Bowl Party

If anyone from the local area has interest, I’m interested in getting together this Sunday to quaff a few beers and watch the game at one of our fine drinking establishments, or at a gathering place determined by majority.

Anyone? Anyone?

Please god, don’t make me watch the Super Bowl by myself.

I have a friend from way back in high school who lives in Florissant. Is that near you?

Florissant? Never even heard of it :o

For the record, I’m in the Denver area, but could be convinced to travel as far as Fort Collins to the north, Colorado Springs to the south, Limon to the east, and Vail to the west.

I will not watch the Super Bowl in solitude, by god!

Don’t be shocked by this, but Steve and I thought we’d try something different and go to the Bait Shop to watch the game. The rest of the gang will be there, and you are welcome to join us. We should be there by 3 PM.

PS. That goes for the rest of you Colorado Dopers, too!

I’d come, but my brother’s birthday party is that day. :frowning:

BTW, Florissant is just west of Woodland Park, vanilla, (where they caught those Texas criminals yesterday!), about an hour south of Denver.

And across the nation they shall gather in bars to celebrate MY BIRTHDAY! I don’t even have to be there!

Superbowl? What’s that? Oh, riiiiggghhht - the sport with the pointy brown ball and the helmets and stuff.

Let’s see:

The cheapest flight I found was $400.

You could drive but that would take 22.5 hours (each way) according to Mapquest.

You could take Amtrak for $246, but you’d have to leave Friday to make it in time for the Superbowl. Plus, you wouldn’t get home until the 30th. I think your wife would kill you.

Looks like your only choice is to fly.
