Think I got accepted anyway, but thought I would post to the thread. My handle is phlurgh on Pokerstars. I can’t access the spreadsheet from work, but I’ll update it later.
Does anyone know who MpKid and Greenday are?
If not, I suggest they be removed.
I’d really like to join. Can a spot be saved for me until I get home tonight and apply? My handle is Gadarene; you can OPR me and everything.
MpKid is not a doper We think he had to get on this thread to find the password, etc.
For sure, we don’t need people logging into tournaments and botting.
I joined up through pokerstars finally and my username there is the same as my SDMB name.
During last night’s weekly game, we decided that we would like to limit the club to player’s that have some relation to the SDMB. So, I have changed the password for requesting membership and I am not going to post it publicly. If you would like to join you need to post in this thread or PM me requesting the invitation code.
Also, there are some players who have formerly been accepted and we do not know if they are SDMB participants or not. If you have been accepted and have not posted in this thread or PM’ed me, then please do so, so I don’t accidentally remove you from membership.
There is a play money tourney at 9:00 central time tomorrow night (Pot limit hold’em and omaha). If I have not heard from players by 8:00, they will be removed from the club.
Also, there may be players that posted here, but did not state what their pokerstars name is. If so, please let us know or update the spreadsheet, so that I don’t accidentally remove you.
What does PLH/PLO at the tournament site?
I live in Washington State.
Umm… Never mind. I was just thinking a bit and realized what it meant! DUH! Now you know why I don’t post much!
So far, in Mentalguy’s spreadsheet, these PokerStars players have not entered a SDMB username:
Adam885
bbcitrus (botted in one of the tournaments)
Greendayr0x (botted in one of the tournaments)
JasonChechik
madman5113 (botted in one tournaments)
MpKiD86 (played in one tournament, and botted in another)
steveb614
tommy2269 (Played in one of the tournaments)
wdcbooks2 (played in one of the tournaments)
Greenday and Tommy2269 have signed up for tonights PLO/PLH tournament.
My biggest beef with the non-SDMBers is signing up for a tournament and then botting.
Is this a problem with playing poker with us or just your general attitude about living there?
I contacted MpKiD86 via AIM and he says he will join the board to stay in. He also said he would wait until near tourney time to sign up from now on since he got called in to work on Monday and forgot to unregister from the tourney.
I think one of the players above that actually played is fruitbat, I think books, but am not sure.
Just in case anyone else is confused. It is Pot Limit Hold’em/Pot Limit Omaha
When I first posted this, I created the tourney for the wrong night. It is up now.
Hey, I guess any hope of retaining anonymity on the boards is now moot! What after the AIM registration thing and the fact that my long-time Pstars name is JakeLeBrun.
Would love to play tonight, but am interested in (small stakes) cash games, too. But, I need to fund my Pstars account. Can players transfer funds? And if so, does anyone else have a Paypal account? We’re not talking about much money here and I’m perfectly willing to trust a doper, transfering my funds 1st.

30 September 2010 - PokerStars today announced that it would cease providing real-money poker to residents of Washington State. To date, PokerStars has operated in Washington on the basis of legal opinions where the central advice was that the state could not constitutionally regulate Internet poker, or at least could not discriminate in favor of local cardrooms and against online sites. Last week, however, the Washington Supreme Court for the first time rejected that position and upheld the state’s Internet gaming prohibition.
In light of this decision, following extensive consultation with our legal advisors, we believe that the right course of action is to now block real money play by Washington residents on the PokerStars.com site. This policy will remain in effect until the law changes or subsequent legal challenges succeed. Our decision to block real money play in Washington does not affect the balance of funds in customer accounts, which remain completely safe. Our payment services team continues to be available to Washington State residents to assist with cashout requests.

FullTilt just did the same thing. Really pisses me off because I had money in that account and since it’s below the minimum withdrawal I can’t get it out.
That does suck. Well, you are still welcome to play our freerolls with us if you are able.
OK, Cool, and yes now that I think about it, you might be right about fruitbat and books.
I’ll see what I can do. Depends on my work schedule but I’d love to play. Been a bit out of practice lately.
Can you still play the play money games, either through .com or .net?
