Come on you homosexual demon!

Tried variations here and got nothing.
Basically I tried:
{against us; he who is not; Rebuke them; Rebuke them not and Cinderella}

There’s something of a similar nature in Acts 19, 13-18, although I’m not sure if this is the one meant (it involves Paul rather than the original disciples).

oo—
this is getting hot!

49] “Master,” said John, “we saw a man driving out demons in your name and we tried to stop him, because he is not one of us.”

[50] “Do not stop him,” Jesus said, “for whoever is not against you is for you.”

Luke 9:49-50

I think that the same incident is recounted elsewhere, but this passage popped up, and it will do. I am a bit suspicious of the passage from Acts, as it would seem to contradict the passage in Luke, suggesting that Paul is elevated almost to the level of Jesus, and that Jews are somehow excluded from an inclusion that permits pagans to access the divine power if their hearts are in the right place.

But this is already a bit above my Biblical scholarship, I’ve read maybe ten books on the subject, leaving only about nine thousand nine hundred ninety to go.

And while we’re about it…Cinderella?

I’m sorry, but I am going to be assaulted by a dread spirit of the outer darkness, it had better have a polysyllabic name. Steve the demon? No. Just no.

Too much like the wait staff at Appleby’s. “Hello, I’ll be tempting you tonight with sinful images and dark desires. My name is Bud.”

To be fair, the Nine Circles have such a great dental plan that I’m loathe to criticize those who apply for homosexual demonship. Sure, the work sucks - but the perks are fabulous.

Nowhere in scriptures does a demon being cast out cause the victim to ‘writhe on the floor’, this is not how it works, it is simply Jesus Himself telling the demon to leave, Jesus being God means that the trump card has been played and the demon must leave.

This is what happens when a believer cast out demons in the name of Jesus, if that believer has the faith that it is not he but Jesus living inside him that is casting out the demon, then it is Jesus Himself.

However sometimes there are spiritual contracts that may give that demon a right to remain till certain conditions are met, in this case the person must seek the Lord and have Him lead the person to void the contract. Jesus can’t subvert the will of the Father, and if the Father has allowed a legal hold on a person by a demon Jesus will be unable to directly tell the demon to leave.

Writhing on the floor is simply a act to make it look dramatic, and make it look like God’s Word is not as stated, a trick of Satan. IF the person preforming the exorcism regularly has the victims writhe on the floor I would suspect the exorcist of being the one possessed.

Homosexuality is the result of prior sin, which comes down to putting another god before the Lord God. Is it the compound effect of sin that lead this person into homosexuality, and others will be lead to other sins. Homosexuality is really no different then any other sin.

I do believe it can be a demon, but I am unsure if it is exclusively a demon, and may be a result of damage from the world that makes a same sex union the only way a person can be satisfied.

Excuse me, but I believe that is so only if you’re playing under Chicago rules. Normally, if all players pass on their first turn to speak then the hand is said to be passed out.

Take that up with the King of Kings, the creator of all things, I’m just a messenger.

I had heard, in my youth, of prayer as a means to petition for aid, or as a means of gathering communion. No one had advised me of prayer as a means of offering instruction, or as a process of pointing out the obvious shortcomings. Is it a Catholic tradition, perhaps, a critical Mass?

Sure there is. Mark 9:14-29

Um…which god are you referring to?

You’re thinking up Supernatural incest slash as we type, aren’t you?

The one whose voice he claims to hear in his head?

In short any god who is not the Lord God, which includes Satan, demons and even man.

The God of Faaaaabulousness!

Actually, that’s exactly what I was thinking. Then again, I also thought of a Naruto yaoi fanfic with Sasuke shouting the thread title at the nine-tailed fox demon. I think he has actually done that in one or two stories I’ve read. :o

Wait, the Lord God includes Satan? And man?!?
This Homosexual Demon sexorcism stuff is fascinating!

Perhaps a interpretation difference, the way I read that, in relation to the other accounts and all other scriptural references is that 1: Jesus commands, 2 Demon leaves but has a fit in leaving.

Again Jesus speaks the demons must obey.

When you get the victim writhing on the floor with the exorcist repeatably trying to cast out the demon 1: is not supported in scriptures, and 2, more importantly, shows lack of faith, as once would do it, and it is faith that Jesus is the one doing it that allows Jesus to do it. Demons MUST obey Jesus, there is no need to command more then once.

Can’t they do a saving roll?
