It is certainly plausible to view the recent deluge of bizarre and unexplainable warnings as the creation of a pretext to ban yours truly.
If this is indeed the case, then I would like to take the time I have remaining to thank those of you that have debated me in good faith. It’s been a pleasure to engage most of you, and I have enjoyed my time on these boards. I have found the vast majority of you to be interesting, intelligent, and erudite people. There is only a small handful of individuals on these boards whose posting styles and general lack of mental acuity tend to drag debates down (off the top of my head: Frothy first and foremost, followed distantly by Monty, Siam Sam, and perhaps Shodan); everyone else gets nothing but praise and good words from me.
I must admit, however, that I am somewhat disappointed by how things turned out in the end. I come from the school of thought that holds that intelligence is the great cure-all that can effectively suppress and overcome baser human tendencies. Recently, however, I am forced to question this assumption more and more. While the Straight Dope board members are doubtlessly far smarter than the vast majority of their counterparts on other boards, this intelligence does not appear to translate into greater tolerance or resistance to indoctrination. Consequently, there is the same juvenile name-calling and dogmatic refusal to accept contrary opinions at face value that one finds everywhere else. That is regrettable.
Still, it’s been fun. I suppose this will be the point where some of you may expect me to laugh maniacally and validate your assertions that I have been stringing you along all this time… Sorry, but no. Every single argument that I have made on these boards has been made honestly and in good faith. I am exactly what I held myself out as being all along: a proud Soviet communist who has nothing but disdain for the corrupt and malignant West. I may be banned for “trolling,” but I am personally fully satisfied that I have never, at any point in time, “trolled” these boards.
In case my time here is coming to an end, let me end with the following: thank you, and best of luck in your future endeavors, my friends. Glory to Marxism-Leninism.

Considering the history of communism in indulging in the basest of human behavior and stifling intelligent thought, in a post full of lies and mistruths, this one, comrade, this one is by far the best. It could have come straight from the DPRK news. Perhaps you could consider becoming a writer from them, translating the truth according to the Kims into English to spread the Glorious word. Ah, but that would require you have the balls to put your money where your mouth is, so we all know that is never going to happen.
And remember for the future, you’re giving yourself away as a fraud whenever you say “the Glorious Red Army,” any Stalinist era agitprop would refer to it by the full name of the Glorious Red Army of Workers and Peasants. Anything post-Stalin would refer to it as the Soviet Army after its name change.
