It was a pun. Ricci sounds like “reach-y”. Hey Christina Ricci, don’t reach, kick.

I didn’t get that one either. I think she was calling him “Christina Reachi” for, you know, reaching for the gun.

Edit: Doh.

Nice. Almost too nerdy for even Annie!

When they cut back to the card-vote, it looked like the person choosing the red card had the cards down on the table, but Annie had her’s in her hand. I was thinking that they were going to have Jeff voting with a red card for some reason. Of course, on the other hand, Annie was the only one that they named with a red card when they were introduced.

This show is awesome! The whole episode was full of brilliance. They went from what was their single worst episode ever (Shirley giving birth) to one of their best.

I too find Alison Brie quite fetching, but for some reason, she didn’t look as hot in this one as I would have expected.

What are these references to?

Was the opening a tribute to the “Wild Wild West” (TV show) opening or a movie? Did “Fistful of Dollars” open the same way?

That was a really great episode. I cannot wait until next week.

Can I get a little help on this one, too?

Call back to the D&D episode when Pierce used one of his turns to rape Fat Neil’s family (he also raped Neil’s sword, if I recall correctly).

Duh-doi is from the episode where they go to the bar on Troy’s 21st birthday.

Jeff patting Annie on the head is from the debate episode. I can’t find a youtube clip because there are apparently thousands of Jeff/Annie shipping music videos clogging my searches.

“This is the only life I know.”

When the card nicknames were shown and Pierce didn’t get one (and before their significance was explained) I was kind of expecting the big reveal to be that he set up the whole contest and was, thus, the Joker of the deck.

And if they make another Lara Croft movie, forget Angelina Jolie - I want Annie in there…

The cards they turned over matched the nicknames. Wasn’t Annie the Queen of Hearts? That means she voted Pierce out.

I didn’t watch it via NBC, so I didn’t get a preview, could you (or someone else) post what it showed in a spoiler box?

I assumed that the black card meant that they were voting to eliminate Pierce from the study group while a red card meant that they were voting against elimination. I can’t remember Annie’s nickname, but assuming it was the Queen of Hearts, she would have been the sole vote to retain him. (And that fits, as she’s the last one to be sympathetic towards him.)

Yeah, they said it had to be unanimous to get rid of him but there was one hold-out.

Anyone else get the feeling Jeff was the one hold-out?

It looks like Jeff had the Ace of Hearts in his hand.

Actually, it looks more like each person selected a card from their two and passed it face-down to Jeff, who gathered and revealed them all at once.

It’s not the best way to run a blackball vote, but it is convenient. It depends how they set it up.

Any fans of Alison Bree who haven’t checked out Hot Sluts should definitely do so (mostly SFW).

Ahhhhh, that makes much more sense.

i’m under the impression that it had to be unanimous to keep him and annie had kicked him out.
