Blurf.
Why is Coors Diet like making love in a canoe?
NSFW textThey’re both fucking close to water!
Welcome to the club!
Many/most GA (General Aviation - smaller, catering to private plane) airports give lessons, including an intro to flying-get you up in the air (in the front seat) which is relatively inexpensive. Lessons aren’t that cheap, but that’s because of the total # of hours you need to rent a plane, but that first flight can be only $40 or $50 some places.
Spiderman, we Canadians tell that joke about American beer in general.
At the concert I went to this past weekend, the only beer being served to the public was Coors. I saw one of the backstage concert workers drinking a can of Guinness and I thought, “Oh, he’s drinking real beer.”
I have a music composition lesson later today. I guess I’d better get back to composing some music.
I’m pretty sure there’s scientific evidence that nap dreams are by far the weirdest dreams a person can have. Case in point:
As I re-dozed this morning, I was transported to a world where **twickster **and former Mumper bibkitty were organizing library book shelves in accordance with the Dewey Decimal System. All of a sudden, **twicks **was in my daughter’s car, disassembling the dash so she could remove the wiring harness while I (and here’s where it gets really bizarro) was doing sit-ups.
You tell me - who could sleep after that?!?!?
Wide awake now, I hopped into the shower to clean the old calamine off so that I could reapply fresh pinkness. I’m dressed and spotted and a bit better rested.
What to do now? I suppose I could continue the bizarreness by dusting…
Blurf. Just… Blurf.
I had popcorn for lunch because I’m a [DEL]fool[/DEL] grownup and I can do what I want.
I had to go to the post orifice because I needed to mail something & forgot to grab a stamp from home. As I was walking out, a girl with lovely, short green hair was walking by.
Green as in if you buried her up to her ears you’d have a lovely lawn. (However, if you only bury 'em up to their necks, you get something entirely different.)
Anyway, I was watching this green-haired girl & almost missed the step as I walked out. So the moral of this story is that if you have green hair others could sprain/break their ankles staring at you. (Moommm, what color is sis’s these days? Was hers ever lawn green?)
Midget, there’s some bad, mass-produced Canadian swill, too; & FTR, I tend to drink micros.
Also, do the MMP rules allow you to be a fool? I thought Swampy held that position.
Midget I’m havin’ peanut butter crackers and a diet poopsy for N.O.L. just cause I can and also so’s I’ll be hongry for some good Mexican commestibles this evenin’.
MOOOOOOM you’re supposed to apply calamine lotion to your skin, not huff it.
As a matter of fact, she just got her hair done today. I haven’t seen a pic yet, but I’m guessing she stayed with platinum blonde for the wedding because my mom would have a cow otherwise. I thought she should go with the wedding colors - aqua and coral.
She did green for Easter a year ago, but it was closer to lime than grass green, if I recall. I just scrolled back thru a bunch of her FB pics - she’s a colorful one, all right…
You haven’t seen my lawn.
Another boring day. I’m almost at the point of falling asleep at my desk.
Wake up!
Sario; my condolences for your loss.
I’ve been flying for so long (my first trip was when I was about 11 or 12–62 now) and so many places (94 airports and counting on 6 continents), that I sometimes forget a lot of people either haven’t (or don’t want to) fly.
So, what did you find easier than expected? Anything terrifying? (I remember my first jet flight; coming into the airport and slowing down to land, I swore the plane was coming to a stop in midair and we were going to crash, but I managed not to yell and we landed ok–and I was 28 at the time!!).
Sometime during my life, flying went from being something done seldom and mostly by the “well-to-do” to as common an activity as driving. I’m still not sure that was all for the best…
Anyway, enjoy Florida while remembering grandad fondly.
I don’t fly often, not just because it scares me, but because I don’t often travel very far, not having as much money as most people seem to.
Well, I’ll have even less money if I don’t get back to work on my music, so I suppose I’ll get back to it now. I had to cancel my composition lesson because I didn’t get enough work done. Back to it now.
Happy Toosday!
I’m reading much but retaining little.
I feel a nap coming on.
Hey, keep it down, will ya’?
There are people trying to sleep in here!
No sleeping at irk!!!
Nothing gets by you super heroes, does it?
This probably qualifies e for stoopit thing of the week
Back story - I couldn’t use my bank’s app to deposit my tax refunds so I intended to take care of it in person. But the closest branch of my bank is not close enough to Jazzy to, so two eeks ago I Jazzyed up the street to a different bank, and set things up so that once everything cleared (which takes extra time for new customers) I could transfer funds to my main account. So last week, I made sure I had the full available balance, and set up my main account for a transfer. I had to wait for the pennies that verify the connection to clear, and then I set about transferring a lump sum form new bank to main bank.
Today I checked on things and couldn’t understand why my balance was in the red - it was because I’d set the transfer to go from main to new instead of new to main. :smack: :smack: :smack:
So now I have to wait until the reversal is complete and then try again.
