Congratulations to Bush and his supporters

Ironically enough, the blues.

Daniel

No, I’d rather my semi-drunken postings not follow me around.

Gobear, you’ve been exceptionally classy in this thread and it’s appreciated.

But this post is a perfect illustration of one of the left’s biggest problems. Do you really think that doesn’t strike a lot of people as an arrogant claim of moral superiority?

Here I am again. I just wanted to tell all you Bush voters to fuck off again. I see no reason to “congratulate” you. This is not a football game. The best man didn’t win and there is nothing to feel good about. This is bad for the country. Why shouldn’t I be pissed off about that.

We apparently live in a country which has a majority population of scumbags. bigots and morons. No reason to feel good about that either.

Lick my balls. you fucking fascists.

You know I’m a patriotic American and unlike my confreres, I have no interest in running off to Canada or vilifying my nation. This is my home, and this is where I will continue my political struggle to ensure a more just nation.

And being in the wilderness isn’t so bad. Lincoln, Reagan, and Churchill grew and strengthened after their political defeats, so I’m going to think of this as a period in which I and my beliefs will be tempered by struggle and difficulty.

You know something, when it comes to embracing theocracy, anti-gay bigotry, and the embrace of torture as a routine interrogation tool in Iraq, yes, I think that my beliefs are morally superior.

To those who are happy about Bush’s win, I congratulate you. My feelings at the moment are such that I can’t possibly say more in this thread.

And of course every person who voted for Bush does so.

There goes “nuanced understanding of complex realities,” too.

The contrast between gobear’s post and the previous is almost too much.

You’re a class act, gobear, and I pray with all my heart for the safety and freedom of all Americans. Including, or especially, the ones who disagree.

Regards,
Shodan

Duffer:“As a very proud descendant of Scotland lineage, could you confirm this feeling amongst your brethren?”

You better believe it Mr Duffer. Hope it all turns out ok for you guys…

Well, that’s what Bush stands for, so spare me your nuances. You voted for him and you knew what you were getting. I am not going to hear, “But I didn’t know that was on Bush’s platform,” or “Oh, I don’t agree with the war.” He’s yours, so face up to the next 4 years. Everything Bush does will also be your accomplishment.

Au contraire. Now you have the comfort of knowing in ways no argument could prove.

And we appreciate the service you do by penning them in over there. Ta muchly.

Fascist? OK. All you Jew bastards can step into my “special room”

All Heebs have an 80 year window to escape the room if you can bring Dio’s body strapped on a gurney to me. Don’t worry what will happen, we can’t discuss it here.

Now, to give full disclosure, I must confess a few things to my Jewish brothers and sisters.

I voted for Bush. This makes makes me one, or all, of the following. Scumbag, Moron or Bigot. (Though someone forget proper punctuation in the heat of mouth-frothing). I’m also Catholic, which dear Dio will no doubt tell you makes me an arch enemy. With that said, I’d like to offer a full apology as a Bush supporter for any and all harm caused to you and your family with my support of the president.

How I became a fascist NAZI is beyond me. I’ll blame it on Karl Rove. THat evil fuck has me brainwashed I tell you! But I’ll work on bettering myself. I promise.
Gotta run. I have to make my weekly call to Robert Byrd.

I feel your pain Diogenes... and much more than you can imagine. We've had a scumbag governor elected twice here.. despite his corrupt and populist governship. His style of politics is frequently compared to Bush. (He speaks badly portuguese and panders to a man of the people image) Brasilia is evenly split with a small margin to this despicable politician and just like the US... the more educated and politically aware were on the losing side.

Populism and uninformed voters are too blame.. not fascists. Expect even worse campaign issues being debated in the future. I don't even bother complaining about sheep being herded... that is what sheep are good for.

 Good Luck America....

Yes, because this exactly the same as a “sports game”

It’s sad that all those idiots “worried” about terrorism will never be hit. WTF? Who’s going to attack Boise, or Tampa?

Jesus GOD that was good. I will go about my day with a little more spring in my step. Thank you!

Just realize that not everyone pissed off about Bush’s victory is a liberal and/or a Dem. Nor does being pissed equate to not accepting the results. I for one, tend to be far more sympathetic toward the Republicans, but Bush, IMO was and is a disaster and my pissed-offed-ness comes more from the fact that I feel betrayed by people I usually agree with. It is nice that gobear and others can show class, I guess I wish I could, but I can’t. I accept the results, but I think we have re-elected one of the worst Presidents ever. I am sorry, I think the majority made the wrong choice and I am uncomfortable with the reasons as I see them.

Thank you, but no. I must decline your kind offer. I much prefer to shake the hands of gobear and the like.

It’s been an ugly campaign, my friends. I do hope we can put this behind us and continue to help America be the best that it can be. We still have much to do. No one can defeat us when we stand together.

gobear, as always, you are a class act.

I understand more about Brazil than you might realize. My father lives in Rio.
