Actually, DtC is to be commended for this thread. Not by me, since I am the Republican equivalent of a shreiking poop-flinging monkey (teeth bared, baby!), but maybe by Scylla or Sam or the like.

You’re quite the unique guy, you know. You’re easily the most vitriolic of all the liberal (or what the hell, conservative too) Straight Dope posters, yet many of us conservatives are able to see past it to the real you and we admire what we find…as of course many of the liberals here do, as well.
But anyway, I’m glad you’ve reached some sort of denouement with the results. But hey, you’ve still got your wife, your adorable little daughter and your computer with which to combat the world. Much is still good.

Dio, what happened to make you have faith Diebold? I honestly don’t know much about the situation, but what little I do know makes me not trust them. Much of what I know about Diebold is found in this and other similar articles.

I don’t especially have faith in Diebold and I read about the extra Bush votes found in Ohio. I’m not saying that I’m abandoning all prvate suspicions but that absent solid proof of wrongdoing I will publicly accept the results for the sake of civility on the board.
