I saw a 30 foot cruiser at a car dealer yesterday called " Multiple O’s "
The Queen of the Driveway.
S.S. Minnow
Albino Pachyderm
“Nelson” after my dad.
Side story - he bought a 17 foot Boston Whaler a month after I was born, 45 years ago. Still has it. He maintains it for family to visit.
Most of the happiest memories of my life revolve around that boat, from infant to teen to adult. I will be going down in a couple weeks with my wife to hit the rivers on Maryland’s Lower Eastern Shore.
It is named “Pegasus”
Could someone find a good picture for reference?
The “Cookie Tosser”.
Dagon’s Snack, Sharkbait, Waterloo?
“Luxury Yacht”.
The Welcome to Jail, Sucka
The Clear Air Turbulence.
Or possibly, the Experiencing A Significant Gravitas Shortfall.
Throatwarbler Mangrove of course!
I used to live near a yacht repo pond in Dickinson, TX. Some of the names were great. My favorite was In a Meeting. As in, “Where were you all day?” “In a meeting.”
I also liked the ones with a new name painted in over the old one. I heard somewhere that it’s bad luck to rename a ship. What could be worse luck than buying a yacht, renaming it and having it repoed? Here’s the link: http://www.americanyachtsales.com/boats-for-sale/?slim=pp286064&lineonly&ps=200
Queen Anne’s Revenge.
The Valcour.
It sound cool. It’s unusual. It’s got a nautical theme. And I grew up near the battle site.
My current boat, a Four Winns 35 foot cruiser, is named Insane Desire, so I’d call it Insane Desire II, of course.
Seriously, I’d sell it. I don’t like the look of Bayliners, nor their signature Bayliner cat’s eye windows, and their cockpits are pretty austere when compared to other manufacturer’s boats. Also, Bayliner caters to the low-end market and, as such, their largest cruiser is smaller than many manufacturer’s midsizes. I don’t think they even make anything larger than a 32 footer anymore, and they haven’t made a flybridge boat in years. Their most popular flybridge boats, the 288 Classic and the 4788, are no longer in production, although there are tons of them on the used market.
The Straight Float
Rarely do I crack up at the same joke twice, but this cracked me up again.
Andriantsimitoviaminandriandehibe 2. That or Andrianjaka Razakatsitakatrandriana 2. But I think Andriantsimitoviaminandriandehibe is a bit more euphonious ;).
Our family saw Scott Free at Port Dover one Friday the 13th. Ever since, I have warned my son that if I ever had a yacht I would name it Scott-Free, and he wouldn’t be able to come aboard…
Raymond
or, avoiding the Python references, I’d go for The Naughty Lass.
Nicely played!
Me? I’d go for Bearing Straight
