Convenience Store - Funny Names

We all love the Kwik E Mart. When talking about a generic convenience store, I was amused when @Jackmannii called his local store the Shit ‘n Git.

Must be other good names for a store.
The Ice ‘n Price?
The Pump ‘n Dump?
The Ploppe ‘n Shoppe?
The Crap ‘n Frappe?
The Gas ‘n Tasse?

But I’m sure you can do better?

Because of all the robberies at one particular location, one of our local convenience stores got known by the nick-name of the “Stick-'em-up Shop”.

Then there’s the real-life “Fill ‘er Up and Keep On a-Truckin’ Cafe” in Pisgah, Iowa.

The Stop ‘n’ Slop

There’s a real chain called Kum & Go. You can’t really top that.

Tuck Yeah!

How about Toot’n Totum?

I don’t get it. Why is that clever/funny?

Well, there’s Sherrill’s Eat here and get gas

Because Kum is very close to Cum. It’s pretty amazing that someone chose that as a business name.

There’s a road in my county know as the River Dump Rd.
A store on that road is called ‘The Dump In’

It really is a shitty place😏

I don’t know about the whole state, but northern Alabama had U-Totems in the '60s/'70s (possibly still/earlier). To this day, I can’t explain this: the U-Totem just down the street from my Granny’s had beer taps in the wall near the register; I assume you could just fill 'er up and be on your way.

Northern 'bama also had 6-12s.

And not a convenience store, but Piggly Wiggly has always been an amusing name.

In rural parts of Asia small variety stores, of any name, are referred to as the ‘Mama shop’. Because it’s the shop where your Mama is always sending you to fetch things.

I like it, I always know where they mean.

My favourite is the Argentina convenience store Open 25 Hours!. They were usually closed when I needed a snack or coffee.
