Woo Hoo!
About another 48 hours for me if I end up seeing it at an IMAX theater, and only 44 hours if I see it at a normal theater. YAY!!!
I have my tickets for a show at 4 PM CST on Wednesday. So I’m at 47 hrs 30 mins right now.
48 hours, 31 minutes.
…tick. tick. tick. tick…
FWIW, it has won the New York Film Critics Circle award as Best Film of 2003. They usually give their nod to less mainstream work, so the award is a plus in my book.
Well, I’ve got my ticket for the 12/17 4pm show. Burning some personal time to leave work early. I’ll take the Mrs. and the youngest Mercotan to see it again on 12/19. Along with elfbabe.
Of course, elfbabe is going to trilogy tuesday tomorrow! So she’ll see it before I! But I’ll be at the movie while Mrs. Mercotan picks her up from the airport 12/17. So hah!
8:00 p.m. CST on 12/17, 48 hours and 5 minutes. Too much to do at work Wednesday to take the day off.
Now if I can just stop myself from reading Dangerosa’s spoilers in the other thread. :smack:
Only 1 hour, 27 minutes for me, my friend’s friend is the manager of the theater downtown.
Thus making me the superior nerd here.
How many days/hours is it until boxing day Even then I don’t think I am going to be able to get to see ROTK until January. Have a feeling my fellow movie goers would not be best pleased if Bubbaleechie came along with me.
Darn babysitters not being available over Christmas/New Year, how can they think that spending time with their families is more important than me getting to see ROTK
Tickets for 12:01 AM Wednesday morning…
Only for LOTR would I ever dream of using a stream of smilies to illustrate my joy…
45 hours, 24 minutes.
…tick. tick. tick. tick…
Brandus, you’ve been outgeeked. TWDuke saw it way back around the sixth, so did richardb. I saw it last Wednesday.
leechbabe,
Who needs a babysitter? My husband and I are taking turns. Wednesday he stays home and I go see the movie. Then I turn blue trying not to talk about it or disclose any spoilers until Thursday night when I stay with the babies and let hime see it.
autz we talked about doing that but the problem is the GIANT FREAKING SPIDER
I really have a phobia about that so I am going to need Leechboy to hold my hand and perhaps loan me his nice comfy shoulder to hide my face in. It will be a real test for me as I am having problems even watching the teasers with that in it.
::sulks:: I’ve got the same problem as leechie in that the damned thing doesn’t open until Dec 26! I definitely won’t be there on the opening day but I’m hoping to get there close to it.
Leechie, you should come up to Logan and we could go together and leave the boys to deal with the kids.
Hehe I like that idea Primaflora
I can just see Leechboy flipping out because I have left him alone with my mum (ahhh the dread MIL). Mum can’t look after the baby on her own because of her MS and she would go nuts if we took Bub’s away from her on one of the 5 days we are in QLD. Don’t you just love family politics.
Twenty-four hours.
SQUEEEEEEE!!!
A little less than 46 hours for me, and I’ll be basking in the goodness… I’m listening to the ROTK soundtrack pretty much nonstop, and I finished rereading the book a couple days ago. I’ll be ready.
41 hours, 39 minutes.
…tick. tick. tick. tick…
36 hours, 31 minutes now. And I still have to concentrate on studying for 2 more finals!
