The Two Towers 24 hour countdown thread

Exactly 24 hours from now, I will be sitting in a theatre, watching the opening credits of The Two Towers scroll by in front of me.

I’m geeked.

Ents! Wargs! New and Improved Nazguls! Oliphaunts! Helm’s Deep! Woo! Woo-hoo!!!

Bring a video camera. My email addy is below

Enjoy the show.

So will I!

I am sooooo hyped up about it! I haven’t been this excited about a movie since, um, well, FOTR.

It’s still 24 hours for me. Stupid time zones.

I hate you all.

We don’t get it until Dec 26 and I won’t get there on the first day 'cause I have to pay attention to my children and all. Stupid children.

::goes over to the corner to sulk loudly and bitterly::

I can’t wait. Holding 10:30 (a.m.) tickets to Wednesday’s show. Will be surrounded by my best friends from work – and have a very special guest, my best friend in the world, who I haven’t seen for… umm… at least three years.

I found a great (fabric) shower curtain at Goodwill, and will make an elven cloak out of it.

I’ve been wearing THE RING on my security badge ever since last year’s movie.

Like I say, I can’t wait.

I won’t be seeing it until Friday, as I have to work Wednesday and Thursday evening, and I want to watch the Fellowship extended edition again immediately prior to seeing it, then discuss it over the phone with my girlfriend that evening. Really, though, seeing it opening day is not a huge deal to me. I mean, I’ve read the books a half-dozen times, and have been following the production of the films for over three years, but it’s not like I’m a geek or anything.

Groans

I don’t get to see it until next week! :frowning:

Stomps out of thread loudly, whining and sniffling

18.5.

I even get to see it for free.

I’m going at midnight, using my free DVD ticket and everything. Of course, I’m on Hawaii time, so I’ll still see it later than many of you.

Woo. 21 hours now.

Haw haw!

I’ve somehow convinced my family that it’s a family thing to go watch the new LOTR movie on Boxing Day.

Almost forgot:

I also hate the rest of you.

The time is now 7:26 am, I will be in the theatre in 16 hours 35 minutes (the show is at 12:01) and the intro will begin to roll.

I can’t wait.

The clock on my computer says it is 2.44 pm that means there is only 9 hours and 18 minutes until I get to see it.

The only downside is that I didn´t get much sleep last night and had to get up really early this morning so I am going to have to caffeinate myself heavily to stay awake.

I’m going to cry. I requested a half day off tomorrow so I could go to the 3:15pm show, and I just went to buy tickets online, and there are none. Not for any show tomorrow. :frowning:

::sobs::

Woot. 15 hours to go. I’m not sure if there will be previews in front of the midnight showing, but damn am I excited!

The best part about it? I’m seeing it with a good friend of mine that I’ve met in the last year. Things 365 days ago weren’t as good, and I had to see the movie alone. I was even going to buy his ticket, but he beat me to it!

I just checked the showtimes for the local Cinemark and found that IT’S NOT SCHEDULED FOR TOMORROW IN TEXARKANA!!! Oh, they have THE HOT CHICK showing TWO %#&@( SCREENS. Other movies showing on two screens are The Santa Clause 2, Treasure Planet and DRUMLINE…

Have a great time, everyone!

I won’t be seeing it until just after Christmas, in a theater about 1500 miles away from here; my brother in law wants to see it, and my wife doesn’t, so we’ll go see it when we’re visiting family over the holidays.

Which is just as well, since I don’t care too much for the theaters around here.

Let’s see - movies this year that we were in a hurry to see:
Attack of the Clones: the day it came out
Harry Potter: the 4:30pm showing on Friday after it came out
Star Trek Nemesis: this past Sunday (3 days after it came out)

but The Two Towers, which I want to see more than any of these:
at least 8 days after it comes out.

[trying hard to find silver lining]
At least the theater shouldn’t be as crowded.
[/silver lining, aka sour grapes]
