I’m preordering my tickets today!! My best friend Jazz and I are going to watch it on Friday: the late late night show because we’ve got school and then other stuff right after. I’m so excited!! I remember thinking last year, “It’s a whole year away…!” And now it’s less than a week away!!
Yes, I am really excited. You can tell, can’t you?
I’m excited! My tickets are pre-booked for friday, as well - also the evening show, so alas, I won’t be able to tease my friends across the pond about having seen it earlier than them as i’ve done for the last threee
You have a best freind called Jazz? Does he tend to get thrown out of the house a lot?
I’m going Friday as well. Bought reserved balcony tickets last week so that we can watch the line for a while then go and take our seats. They were the last good balcony seats left for Friday, so we got VERY lucky.
And in preparation, I’m rereading the book. I really really liked the Prisoner of Azkaban, so I’m kind of scared this one won’t live up to my expectations, but the trailer I’ve seen looks good… ::crosses fingers::
Woohoo! Just got my tickets. The lady accidentally gave me two tickets for the Thursday midnight show and as much I’d love to go to that showing, I can’t. Oh, well! Still excited as hell and everything!! Jazz and I are going to the theatre like an hour early.
Jazz getting thrown out of her house?! That’d be the day I become a nun. Hehe, no, she’s a really nice girl. My parents love her because she’s so polite.
gardentraveler, I think the trailer makes the movie look AWESOME.
I’m going friday with a friend from work. I’ll probably pick up tickets tuesday or wednesday or something. I’m sooo pumped now that the early reviews seem to be rather good…not that it would have mattered a great deal.
The only movie I’m excited for more than this is Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince…booy that’s gonna be good (Order of the Phoenix won’t be bad either).
Half-Blood Prince should be damn good - Alan Rickman in full villain mode.
Hmm… I seem to keep missing the GoF trailers…they always end just as I walk into a room. Typical
I’m going to be at my cousin’s house in Pittsburgh, PA for Thanksgiving. And my birthday is the 23rd. So I’ll be being treated to it as part of my birthday party, as part of the middle generation of 3 generations of psyched HP fans. Good times…
I saw a test screening months ago, and I’m excited to see it again! So much that my husband and I have already bought tickets to the midnight show on Thursday.
When I saw it I hadn’t read any of the books except for the first one right after the first movie had come out in 2001. I really liked the Prisoner of Azkaban movie, but even that didn’t get me to read the books. I liked Goblet so much that I read all 6 books in a week and a half, and I’ve read Goblet twice.
The movie is great! They had to cut A LOT out so some purists are going to have heart attacks, but what’s there is really really good.
I bought tickets online for the 12:05 showing. Now I find out that another theatre here has a 12 midnight showing. Should I trade my tickets just to actually see it at midnight? Probably not.
We’re going to a Saturday evening showing. ~sigh~
Unfortunately, my sisters’ fiancee is coming with us. He hasn’t read any of the books nor has he seen more than 10 minutes of the previous movies. And he’s a walking Cliff Clavin who will (despite having no knowledge) ramble on how the FX could be better, note any lapses in the storyline, &c.
I informed him that if he opens his yap even once he will be physically booted out of the movie house.
I’m excited! They did such a good job on the first three, I’m crossing my fingers that this one will be as good.
I watched the HBO First Look yesterday. It looks great, except I didn’t much like the outfits they are wearing to the dance (prom dresses and tuxedos instead of dress robes.) And the Beauxbatons girls look like they marched out of a Madeline book. The Durmstrang boys looked great.
This one is going to be pretty dark, so my 5-year-old will sadly be left out.
Yay! I have been meaning to start a thread like this for awhile and I kept saying, it’s too soon…
Think I’m going with my 16 year old to the midnoc showing on early Friday morning. I hafta work this weekend–boo, hiss! And if I call in, I have to make it up the next weekend, and that’s Tgiving, so… Husband will have to take the boys, but I wanted to vet it first for the second grader (I think it will be too scarey for him).
Can’t wait!
Even though she’s not a fan herself, my wonderful sister has surprised both her husband and myself with IMAX tickets for Friday night.
I would like to take this moment to share with the world that I LOVE MY SISTER! Picky, you’re my FAVORITE family member!
