Nope, Monkey’s got a gun and he knows how to use it. There is no forwards and backwards, there is simply “what happened.” As far as evolution is concerned.
No fucking kidding?
I was making it up numbskulls! You don’t think I rejected my “belief” in evolution due to county!?!?!
Of course there is no forward and backward. It was a fucking hyperbole. It made for a good rant. He probably has more than two brain cells, and his myelin sheaths aren’t cardboard either.

Irony, thy name is county. Compare that post to this asinine one from the previous day.
county, if you’re intent on improving your posting style, you need to work on your consistency.
By the way, thanks for killing hamsters with your stupid smiley art. You do realize that Pages take longer to load because of that shit, right?
Jeff Olsen:
I don’t see how those two statements are inconsistent.
I’d say that statement is pretty inconsistent all by itself.
I think he meant that they get away with stuff in the short term, but in the long term, their karmic debts end up bankrupting them.
Yeah, that made sense, but then he tags that paranthetical “or not” on to it. So he’s saying it’s okay that they get away with stuff in the short term, because they may or may not get some sort of karmic come-uppence in the future.
All right, but I still don’t see how the “getting away with it” statement is inconsistent with, or even related to, the “intolerant people like to spout off” statement.
I agree with Rilchiam. One thing to add, though. I think the (or not) is a hedge against someone jumping on him three months from now for advocating violence.
I can just imagine it:
county, you said they’d get what’s coming to them for stealing a waffle iron. Is an axe handle coming to them? Huh?!
Ilsa, I just read the other thread for the first time – until you had called county stupid or a moron for about the fourth time and then I stopped. You were attacking him – not just disagreeing with his ideas. If you focused a little more on what he had to say and addressed that rather than playing with awkward or mangled (or stolen) metaphors, you might have a point somewhere.
I disagree strongly with county’s views on disciplining children and he has said things in other threads that put me off. I would like to be able to take your side, but you make that impossible with your shrillness.
Damn! What a waste! County gets pitted and I can’t enjoy the feast.
The first one can be taken as self-parody. In the second, he’s just being an ass.
Ilsa_Lund, I gotta say that I think calling someone the “haploid offspring of a pig and a goat” is one of the funniest things I’ve ever heard.
Implying that someone you think is stupid has trisomy 21 (Down’s Syndrome) is one of the least funny.
If it weren’t for its implication, Trisomy 21 would make a GREAT band name! (I’ve thought this for years, too!)
I could have easily gone sailed through life not knowing what the hell Trisomy 21 was.
This better get me a free drink somewhere.
You know, I don’t happen to agree with you on the subject discussed, but I got your clarification just fine and considered the matter settled. I only called you a moron because I thought you were essentially disagreeing with your own statement just to be contrary and/or piss me off.
Had I known the shitstorm I’d start, I’d have kept my mouth shut.
It will. You can at least be grateful to me for that!
I thought you were thru here Ilsa, but since you are back, how about an apology.
For pitting you?
I hate to break this to ya, Ilsa, but you come across as a poor-impulse-control, anger-management-flunking attention-whore.
