Well, Ilsa; those are your statements and IMO they represent a fair assessment of your position. But, whether they do or don’t, they are both blatant mischaracterizations of the truth, and you know it. That is about as kind as I can put this.
You cannot present any post I ever made that would support those statements; the closest you can come would be to argue that my opinion was “vile and stupid” - in your opinion. Nothing was “vile and stupid” in my manner.
You can produce nothing that indicates I ever considered minors to be subhuman. Nothing. Only that they don’t have all the rights of an adult.

And seriously, without in any way supporting County whatsoever, Ilsa you can come on fairly strongly at times, from your smiley volcano to some quite emotional posting. I do understand that you have very strong feelings about this, but I think we get your point re: County and while you have gathered quite a lot of support for that opinion in this thread, their is a risk it will backfire.
Just a friendly piece of advise: Wait ten minutes whenever you feel the urge to post, and think it through.

A bit off topic, but this is a pet peeve of mine.
If you were truly an evolutionary ecologist you would know damn well that there is no “forward” or “backward” in regards to evolution. Regardless of what you may have heard on Star Trek, humans are not evolving into a a “higher” form. We, like all life, are simply evolving to fit the environment. It is quite possible that our species will grow less intelligent over time if it turns out that our large brains consume more energy than is warranted by the benefits that come with increased intelligence.
The myth that evolution has some kind of predictable direction is as annoying to me as the “if we evolved from monkeys why are there still monkeys?” thing.
