Home from buildin’ demolition. They did not get quite done and will be back tomorrow mornin’ to finish up. Oh well, at least I don’t need to be there. JDD thought they’d get finished today but like I told him, they’ll be back cause they ain’t got their money yet.
Now I shall mess around until it’s time to go get some bbq dindin.
Back from Herndon - we got some snails and some hermit crabs and an anemone. Then we stopped for lunch. **FCD **isn’t feeling well so he’s crashed in front of the TV. I took the 2 loads off te line and I’ve got sheets and an afghan in the washer.
My brother told me of a PetCo in his neighborhood that had to cut back on space due to a rent increase. So the landlord divided the space and rented the vacant part to a sushi bar … that occupies the space formerly taken up by aquarium pets and supplies
everyone else everyone is being SO productive today! How do you handle it?
(I am at irk, because we rotate weekends. But since I worked an extra day this week, I get tomorrow off for some reason). And on top of that, it’s an evening shift.
But given last night’s debauchery, it’s for the best - I would have been useless at 7 AM.
donkeybear no pics. Sorry. See, I feel the takin’ of random pics of sweaty young bears in tight jeans and tshirts to be uncouth. We all know I got couth out the wazoo.
Just et an early dindin. We got two combo plates with smoked chikin, ribs, sliced beef and sliced poke with fries and coleslaw. I’s stuffded! I et the ribs and chikin. The sliced poke and beef will make a couple good sammiches for lunches next week. URP!Excuse Me I said I have couth not class.
True. She seems to be doing lots of food blogging, though.
We had a lovely garden tour this morning. Perfect weather, pretty plants, yummy snacks; what more could we ask for?
Took a nap when I got home, then went out to wander around during the monthly fest here. Lots of people because the church around the corner was having its annual festival and there are bike races tomorrow.
Brother and I went for a really cool walk. I’m saving the story to get us started on Monday, though. (Unless someone else has something that can’t wait…)
Rebo, yes, that is a thing. A thing that I want. Can we substitute whipped cream for the Cool Whip though?
swampy, hmm. Would have traded you sweaty pictures of myself.
Home from work, then laundry and dinner while at laundry. After the disappointing experience with carbonara at the local Italian place that’s reportedly owned and run by real-life Eyetalians, we went to Olive Garden tonight, where I was unimpressed with the waitress’ description of the same dish. I ordered something else and vowed to find some pancetta in town and just do it my own damn self.
And remind me to tell y’all the possibly TMI story about my PA today.
As for pics, if someone had taken some, I could have offered sweaty pics of me. We’re still in low 90’s actual temp and nearly 70 dew points, which one of the local TV weather people helpfully defines as “miserable.” It’s not too bad if you can stay inside, but today, there was a garden trellis that had to be completed, so I’m out there screwing the thing together and by the time I was done, my clothes were probably two pounds heavier. Ick!
As for Rebo’s trifle, yes, it’s a real thing, and alarmingly, I have two of the three components in my fridge right now. As party leftovers, we’ve got a pint of whipping cream and two cans of squirt cream. Not sure why there are cans of chunk and crushed pineapple.
gotti, haw haw haw. Prince Albert, of course. I have a horseshoe-shaped ring in mine, with a ball on either end. I noticed while I was at work that something felt not right Down There, but couldn’t get away to investigate. An hour or so later, I went to the bathroom and realized that one side had slipped all the way inside my urethra, and the other one was pressing not-so-delicately on the glans. After I fixed it, I had a cute dent right above the urethra from the pressure.
A thorough examination later revealed that the dent was gone, but it looked reaaaalllll funny while it was there.
Well, that’s a heckuva thing to read first thing in the morning…
Another loverly, cool start of the day, despite being up so ridiculously early. **FCD **is being an old poop - he doesn’t want to go to the party at my mom’s, so I guess it’s just daughter and me. She’s coming over early to get more of her crap out of the basement - I don’t see how she can say she’s all moved out, while there’s stuff in every.single.room down there. And school has been out of session for more than a week, so she’s had time. She gets a deadline today - everything will be gone by Friday. We’ve got stuff we want to do and we can’t while her crap is down there. Sheesh, kids…
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ YAWN ‘Tis 73 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 99 for today. Guess the cool spell is over. Da cave smells turkeylicious right now. Turkey breast is breathin’ and shall soon get sliced. Dressin’ is in the oven doin’ it’s thing. Giblet gravy shall be made shortly as well. All this can be quickly reheated for N.O.L. Oh and cranberry sauce is chillin’ as well. It’s the canned stuff cause that’s what I like.
Rebo of course it’s dessert. Healthy dessert even cause it’s got fruit in it.
OH MY! gotti and donkeybear talkin’ about sweaty pics of themselves. I may swoon! Also, donkeybear you win, hands down, the most TMI post of the week. It just don’t get any TMIier than that. Also, cite!
Ok, we need a vote…
All in favor of gt gettin’ us started tomorrow say “Aye”.
AYE!!!
All those opposed [del]get over yerselves[/del] say “Nay”.
::crickets::
The Ayes have it! gt shall be our hostess with the mostest and regale us with a tale of her cool walk which we shall then hijack to heck and back.
Ok, I need more caffiene and some kind of food substance for a very rumbly tummy. Also, turkey breast must get sliced and purtification for deheathenization must commence. The Bishop is here and I get to ush. Rah!
I’s eating a hippy breakfast. Biscuits and groovy.
Plans for today are to pickle my peck o’ peppers. I’ve also switched gears for next weekend’s smokage. The victim will now be a turkey. I blame Swampy.
I had a great time at the park thingy and heard a fantastic blues band. I like them so much, I bought one of their CDs right on the spot. I would have bought a second one, but didn’t have enough cash on hand. This band was the only band that we listened to for the entire set.
They had all kinds of vendor and food booths, along with a second stage. So we wandered through the park, checking everything out. But, once we heard this band, we didn’t leave until they were done. The singer has a voice that is made for the blues. It was fantastic and she won singer/songwriter of the year for the Northwest Blues Association or something like that. I was highly impressed by the band too. Tight and together. And, most importantly, they looked like they were just having a great time on the stage. I spoke to the lead singer after the set and she was extremely nice.
After the park thing, we walked back to our friend’s house and hung out there. We ate, we laughed, we drank, we played 99. Hubby and I each won a hand. Unfortunately, for the first time in forever, I ate too little and drank just a little too much. I didn’t feel drunk, but I sure felt a little sick and woozy. I went from feeling just fine to that in a split second. I opted to lie down on the couch and we ended up spending the night there. I didn’t get sick or anything, but that’s exactly what I was trying to prevent by lying down. I got damn close a couple of times, but I finally dropped off to sleep.:o
Anyway, after waking up a couple of times during the night, I got up for good at 5:00 and told the hubby we should go. We stopped for coffee on the way home and I’ve just been cruising the 'net and relaxing before I face the day.
I’m getting ready for my kimono class. I’m having a hard time deciding when to leave. 'Corrding te the Google, it takes an hour fifteen without traffic and close to three with. Is there going to be traffic? I dunno.
I’ve got to get gas and money on the way so I’m giving myself little over two hours.
