What!? How did that happen? Everything else is public!
But, should be fixed now.

You do fix things, don’t you? Love the latticework table top in particular.
Yes, the black chair with the gold seat was a pretty big fix… that was a side-of-road find. Looks quite different now.
That latticework table started life as all one color, and very beat up (thrift store find)… a bunch of sanding, a few screws, a couple different types of stain, and it is now a very serviceable stand for my fan.
I love seeing everyone’s creations but I have to say I looove these. The colors are what get me (as with quilting fabric)!
My latest: potholders
A friend in our quilt guild did a demo of these so I made a pair each for two friends.

Congratulations!
Biggirl, I read “copper patinas” as “copper panties” and winced just a little.
NoCoolUserName, go for it! Anything goes.
And yeah, I finished piecing a large (~72x90) top this weekend during the heat but put it aside for something smaller. The wedding it’s for is end of September so we should have enough reasonable temps by then for me to do the quilting.
Because I’m sure you are all waiting with bated breath, I think, after a week of experimentation, I may have cracked the blue/green patination puzzle.
Tomorrow, after work, I’ll know for sure.
Well?!?
Those are beautiful. Have you ever thought about making stitch markers? There’s a blue million of the things with various polymer clay work on Etsy, but nothing like those.

Hey, crafty and artsy!
I’ve never heard of those before! (You can probably tell I’m not a knitter by now.) They’re a jeweled marker to keep track of the stitches, yes? By glancing at pics on google, I think making those could be doable!
Here’s the Celtic braid sweater, in progress. It’s about to be too hot to knit anything bigger than a sock, so I’ll finish the front and then do the sleeves next fall.
(Not great pix, sorry – the flash washes out the details, but without a flash it’s pretty freaking dark.)
Wow. The pattern and the color are gorgeous. Either of those purples is really pretty – I’m assuming it’s somewhere between them?
I wanted a real clear purple; the yarn is actually a tad more reddish than that, almost a mulberry. Lovely drape to the yarn, though, it’s half cotton and half bamboo.
What yarn is that, twickster? I have been looking for some summerweight yarn and haven’t found one I wanted. And, is it soft? Sometimes cotton is a little stiff.
Valley Yarns Southwick in African Violet. The color is a little redder than the way it looks on the website, but it’s still very pretty.
It has a lovely hand – will drape nicely. I’m working on size 8 needles, because I’ve got circulars in that size – probably would have been better off with 7s, but since I wanted that drapy effect I’m okay with it.
The one thing I’m not crazy about is that the twist of the yarn isn’t particularly tight – you have to make sure you get all of the threads as you’re working, especially if you’re redoing a section you frogged.
Sorry about not getting back with results. My 12 year
computer has finally drawn its last breath and pictures ate beyond my phone capability. I hate posting from my phone.
I finished my beret! And then I made three more!
