I am temporarily pissed. I just went to my cruise site and our reservation has been canceled!!! :mad: Supposedly the agent paid off the balance yesterday, but the reservation no longer exists! If we lose our cabin because of her, I will be royally steamed!! I can’t do anything at the moment, but I’ll be calling my mother in a bit. Trying not to panic…

**swampy **- I don’t think she canceled it - I think she missed the deadline for paying the balance so they canceled it themselves. As I understand, it was supposed to be paid last Friday, but she didn’t do it till yesterday. The reservation was still there yesterday, but not this morning. grrrrrrrrr
Anyway, my sis is staying up there for a few days and I just talked to her. She’s waking Mom up to deal with this. We shall see how it goes.

Just checked the cruise reservation site - our cabin is now “available” - There are a few other cabins on the same deck, so we can get a space once Harriet gets her ass in gear, but if we lose our excursion reservations, I’ll be really pissed - some of the ports are in the middle of nowhere and we’d need transport to go anywhere or see anything.
I hope I’m getting upset for nothing, but right now, I just need to vent.

This iPad is driving me batty. The keyboard keeps disappearing as I’m trying to type.
My new job is local and working with students who have disabilities in grades 6-8. I’m pretty excited as there are different philosophies on education and life skills and my new employer and I seem to be on the same page.

Aside from the obvious poking with pointy sticks, they’d probably be more competent at booking stuff. She’s starting to sound like one of Swampy’s more interesting clients, rather than a travel agent.
Only wound up with one student showing up to juggling club last night, not the three that were ‘probably’ coming, but it does look promising for getting the convention going again. He was definitely keen, and it honestly only takes one person to say it’ll happen 
Anyway, I should get going; it’s all sunny, and I have things to do.
OK, the reservation is back an confirmed. We lost our excursion reservations, but I was able to rebook just about everything. We’re stuck on the wait list for the trip we wanted in Bergen, Norway, but I’ve booked an alternative, just in case.
I can breathe now.
I slept on Murphy for the first time this year last night. Either I didn’t put the cap in tight enough or it’s become not sleep-worthy over the winter because it was not exactly full when I woke up. If I wake up that way tomorrow morn I’m buying a new mattress.
Brekkie was on the go this morn, literally…on the bike trail.
There was a county parks pick-em up parked ½ on the trail, with the bed over an over hanging tree & one guy standing in the bed. Makes sense to just cut the limbs into the bed & drive away as opposed to doing extra work. He musta been the supervisor, 'cause the other guy was standing behind the truck, with a gas can in one hand & a hand-saw in the other. :smack:
Then I saw a cat, on the side of the trail, staring at the bushes. 20 mins later when I came back, it was still staring at the bushes. I think it was cat-atonic.

Moooom, your travel agent definitely needs a session with the Sri Lankan troops, they would be able to make a better (and much faster) job of booking stuff. All those legs would be very useful! Doesn’t she understand calendars or something? Fool woman, she should know better than to get on your bad side.
I have had a productive day so far, been out to get my hair cut and also picked up tickets for my favourite Swedish band who are playing here in December. I am toying with tickets for Steel Panther for next March so I will have to make a decision on that pretty soon as they sold out quite quickly last time.
I’ll give it some though, after a cup of tea.
