Create your own Law & Order spinoff

Did you see her appearance on Community when they parodied Law and Order? I read that the actress enjoyed the show so much she paid her own expenses to go and shoot her scene, in which her character…

did an “autopsy” on a plant.

Law & Order: Jerusalem

One detective is Jewish, the other Muslim. There’s so many ways this can go.

  1. They kill each other first episode.
  2. They both have enough contempt for Palestinians to get along.
  3. They have to keep abreast of all the Jewish, Christian and Muslim religious laws, customs and rights, because virtually everywhere they step is holy to somebody.
  4. They have to get involved with 2000 year old clan feuds.

Law and Order: Appalachia (with story arcs including Hatfields and the McCoys (distant relatives to Jack), inbreeding and the Kentucky Blue Blue People)

Or people honking at someone who won’t make a left on red. Or eat their salad with their dinner fork.

Which give me an idea for my contribution to the parody portion of this thread:

L&O: Grammar Police!

I haven’t seen that, but it sounds good.

“I won’t know the exact cause of death until I do the autopsy, but it looks like someone ripped this plant out of the ground while it was still alive.”

Something like that?

Bylaw and Order: Planning Commission - A crack team of hardened inspectors put their lives on the line daily, battling criminals who don’t mow their lawns, or violate stream easements.

Law & Order: Home Owners Association. Covers all those ridiculously minor conflicts, such as when a resident puts out the garbage can the night before pickup rather than in the morning as the HOA rules specify. Or another resident paints his shutters the wrong shade of green.

Like on Burn Notice, when Sam pretended to be from the HOA, and was kneeling in the yard with a ruler, measuring the length of the grass.

Hmmm, if they can get Bruce Campbell, I’d watch that.

Can’t believe no one’s thought of this yet:

Law & Order: SDMB. Ripped from the archives of the Dope, watch mods cornfield spammers, drop the ban hammer on trolls, and shine their jackboots. With Richard Belzer as Colibri, Ice-T as Miller, Mayim Bialik as TubaDiva, and Andy Serkis as the squid.
