There are times when you have to stop and wonder-how stupid can people be? I caught a bit about the new “Creation” museum , that just opened up to paying customers 9sorry, don’t have link). P.T. barnum would be proud! Exhibits show humans coexisting with dinosaurs! And i guess there are also scientific proofs of the “young” earth. The Europeans must be laughing their heads off! Anybody know who funded this disgrace?
I have yet to figure out how this became a USA vs. Europe thing. There are morons in Europe, I promise.
Well, there’s a Bible theme park trying to get built just outside of Nashville right now. So I guess that’s strike two.

We try to keep ours well hidden
In the TV clip, they showed a fundamentalist preacher proclaiming how the "museum’ would provide the "answers’ for belivers! What a crock! How about a museum that proves the earth is flat?
Plenty of Americans too. I believe there’s a couple of petitions sponsored by scientists floating around.
One crazy does not a country make.
Head over to the AiG site http://www.answersingenesis.org/
The “Museum” is a privately funded venture.
Our idiots do manage to find the spotlight more often. Sorta like an anti-cockroach, scurring for the light instead of away from it. Now if we could only convice them to stick to TV and movies and stop running for public/elected offices we’d be alright.
I’m embarrassed for my country. To me, believing in the literal truth of the Biblical creation story puts you on the far side of the line that separates the smart from the not-so-smart. And then to build a museum celebrating your not-so-smart status? Cringeworthy, frankly.
Eh, they have the Vatican to deal with, I’ll take a creation museum any day.
It’s a BEMUSEMENT park!
Well, this dude in the Netherlands think the biblical ark was real, and made a replica:
so not all the nuts are here in the US.
If only American and European goofballs could be persuaded to find some common ground; perhaps somewhere scenic halfway between America and Europe. Are there any Biblical verses that could be interpreted to justify the existence of Atlantis? That project alone could keep them occupied for years.
Hey, at least they didn’t build it in Kansas.
Which is probably a good thing, otherwise the school board would make field trips mandatory.
Any European school boards mandating that biology textbooks carry disclaimer stickers about evolutionary theory?
What I don’t get is why creationists acknowledge the science proving the existence of dinosaurs, but dismiss the science that proves the time which they existed. It seems to me they would look less stupid, relatively speaking of course, to just pretend the sceince behind dinosaurs is altogether phony.
Imagine-you are a national politician-you actually get photographed at the opening ceremony?? It is like participating at the opening of a titty bar! WHO in is right mind would want to be associated with this? What an embarrassment! :smack:
Embarrassed for your country? Try being from Kentucky, where this ridiculous thing is actually located. It’s not far from Cincinnati, in the northern part of the state. I’ve been watching this thing for years, and my neck is permanently stiff from all the cringing. Bible-based museum attracts thousands as protesters jeer.
There needs to be a weeping smiley.
Well, at the most recent GOP debate, three of the presidential candidates raised their hands when asked, “Which of you do not believe in evolution?” Mike Huckabee, Sam Brownback, and Tom Tancredo. Here’s a clip of it… http://youtube.com/watch?v=t4Cc8t3Zd5E
