I am inclined to agree Esprix. But I’ll admit I’ve been looking in on this thread all day hoping to see the “Gotcha” (which would not surprise me from Sqrl).
OK, pal, you got me, please advise.
Here’s my theory.
The cat, after fiddling with the door to get out, had snuck up on him and batted his ankle. Sqrl was so startled he leapt to his feet and hit his head on the roof and knocked himself unconscious.
On a side note same thing happened to my grandmother a couple weeks ago at 3:30 in the AM. The wind shook the door scared her so badly she held the door shut for about 20 minutes before banging on it so loudly she could have woke the dead. Scared the hell out of me, thought my building was on fire again.
Has anyone heard from Sqrl? I went over to his house but he wasn’t home and I’m getting ready to catch a plane to Calgary for a week. I didn’t see any sign of a break-in or struggle, he’s probably just playing a joke on everyone.
Sqrl, please come out of hiding and tell us you’re okay.
I have nightmares about this sort of thing.

I love that story. It always freaks kids out. Now that I’ve been reminded of it I must turn it into a Little Fears game.
I’m sure SqrlCub is messing with everyone. If he had the time to write a post while crazy shit was going down he’d have time to fire off an email/call someone/do something productive.
I have to say it is a nice little joke/freak out. Then again I thought it was funny to hide in the closet until my mom was frantic when I was younger.

Think about it. If someone’s kicking at your back door the last thing you’re going to do is spend the 30 to 60 seconds required to finish typing out a post and send it while the intruder hammers at your door. SqrlCub is having some post Halloween fun with you by playing Secret Squirrel.

Not necessarily, astro, with all due respect. He’d opened the thread when he was (presumably) still thinking the “jiggling” was something random. Presumably again, the “kicking” started before he’d hit “submit”, so he typed the last sentence as a distress signal, then sent the thread.
I think Sqrl is aware of what happens to TMs who play pranks of such nature (My SO was in a car accident! My baby’s dying!). It doesn’t sound like him to do such a thing.
dcnewsman, Is there anyway you can have the manager of his building check on him or call his job or something. I’m worried now and like Rilchiam said playing games like that doesn’t sound like something Sqrl would do.
