See, I adore Reid, but I’m more in line with your first post about him. . .I don’t think he’s ‘smokin’ (not that you’re wrong to think that, just that I don’t happen to agree). I just want to bring him home with me and pet him and stuff. I don’t wanna get funky with Reid any more than I wanna get funky with my cat, but, hey, if I promise to feed him and clean up after him, can’t I please, please, please keep him??
After all, somebody’s gotta feed him, right? Look how thin he is! (Seriously, I think he brings out the ‘Mom’ in me; the character, that is, not the actor. The actor really is pretty hot when he’s not in ‘Reid Mode’).
Criminal Minds also gets a nod for recognizing Jane Leeds’s talents before Glee Her reaccuring role as Reid’s psychotic mother Diana was always excellent, and that was not an easy role to portray.
ETA: In a coincidence of role reversal, she also played Charlie Harper’s therapist on 2 1/2 Men.
My name is Dolores, and I’m addicted to Criminal Minds.
I think my favorite character is Penelope Garcia. I love the scene when her geeky co-worker/ new boyfriend was at her apartment coming out of the shower and THE BOSS shows up! I’m glad that she has a boyfriend.
Morgan is smokin’ hot. Reid is geeky cute. The writing is very well done, and if the show is on, I’m watching it - rerun or not.
I spent about two and a half minutes squinting at Penelope’s geeky boyfriend in his first appearance going “Now I know I’ve seen that actor before”. Then I went “Holy crap, that’s Xander” and haven’t been able to see him as anything but the loveable monster bait guy since.
And I love how in spite of her being the bubbliest member of the team, and (at least in my opinion) the least effected by their job even though she has one of the grisliest responsibilities, every so often she pulls out some badass and intimidating piece of street cred.
My personal favorite was when they went to find a spy for the CIA and she wasn’t even let past the front door. “We have a file on you.” “Huh? What’s it say?” “We’re not allowed to know. But we have one.”
Since there are so any Reid fans here, over the past summer I watched a quirky/fun black comedy co starring Gulber as an serial killer in training. You should ckeck it out: linky
I’m surprised it worked, much less that it worked so fast. Yeah, what she said was awesome, but I’m not sure trying to reach the hurt child inside the sociopathic killer is a strategy that would work so effectively that it caused him to not only let go of his victim but essentially collapse into himself.
I’m a little surprised at Morgan, too. It looked to me like Flynn was putting down the gun. Not a justified shot. On the other hand, I blinked right about then, so maybe I missed Flynn actually starting to point the gun at Morgan?
I like the show, but am getting really tired of Shemar Moore. The guy is absolutely useless! He’s supposed to be this tough, former football star, but how many times has he gotten zapped or clunked from behind by someone half his size?
When he goes into a building after a suspect, you just KNOW he’s going to be knocked unconscious!
AJ Cook was forced out by the network. Paget inked a deal for reduced episodes this season and then leaving. None of these deals were by choice. It was the network. Their twitter accounts around these negotiations were very informative!
