Criminal Minds Season Finale 5/16--Keith Carradine returns as Frank

I’m giving you a heads up right now: Keith Carradine was amazing as Frank, the genteel sadistic serial killer on Criminal Minds this season. Really really Emmy worthy. Absolutely wonderful in bringing life to the dark role.

He returns on Wednesday to go mano-a-mano with Jason Gideon, the head of the Behavior Analysis Unit, play by Mandy Patemkin. I don’t often recommend TV, but this is one show that is going to be good.

Thanks for the headsup. I wondered when Frank would turn up again. I knew they couldn’t just let him ride off into the sunset with the love of his life.

I love this show and I LOVED that episode. He was great. Looking forward to it!

Wow. So, did they die or escape?

Obviously they did leave some room for doubt with the slow motion jump in front of the train, but at the end Jason was putting the picture of Jane into his “murder book” next to the picture of his murdered love interest.

So Jane certainly seems to have died. And this show tends to be realistic enough that I don’t think they’d reveal next season that Frank somehow managed evaded the 1000 shock troops that were sent into the train station.

I think they HAD to die. NO way a couple of middle aged people are going to jump to safety in that sitch.

I thought it was a great episode. The creep factor was through the roof! Carradine did a great job, and Jason’s reaction to his friend’s murder was as authentic a performance as I’ve ever seen.

I love this show!

Great episode, though I’m sad Frank had to die. I like that they used real victims from previous shows and didn’t just make some (the first young woman was from the season finale of last year/season opening of this year and the young girl gave a really good performance outrunning and outscreaming the young boy tryng to kill her).

This show is always good, but Keith Carradine was excellent. I loved how his face changed when Gideon started giving him the goods on Frank’s history. And Penolope Garcia is great as the overweight, sexy, computer expert-not-computer nerd. A very unusual type of role for a woman.

This show just keeps getting better and better - although I did not really care for (or need) the cliffhanger - this show has enough going on that they don’t need to add “internal fights” to the mix in this way.
