Crimson Room (a game)

http://www.ebaumsworld.com/crimsonroom.html

This is some crazy flash game. You start stuck in a room, and, well, you figure it out from there.

I’m quite stuck right now, though.

I just opened the box, got the little movie of the guy dancing, but have no clue what it meant. The CD case, note, and one of the keys remain unused thus far. The URL on the piece of paper is no help, just a yelloe background, and text saying “The History of Takagism since 1994”, I even viewed the source and got no help.

BLARGH! A pox upon thee!!!

I’ve got as far as you, bouv…ARRRRGGGHHH!!!

Okay… Is the dancing man pointing at a plus sign? A throwing star? What the hell is that?

At the end of the guy’s dance, he points to a spot on the wall. There’s a small crosshair there. WHEN THE MOVIE IS OVER, click on that spot a few times. You have to wait until the movie finishes, or else it turns the movie off and the “hot spot” doesn’t get activated.

I know how to do it but I don’t know how to do the spoiler box…sorry
if you want to explain the spoiler box I will tell you.

ahhhhh shoot BraheSilver beat me to it…oh-well

Lwaxana, to do the spoiler box, just type [“spoiler”] (text) [/“spoiler”] without the quotes.

Or, just click quote to see how I darkened this text.

I have the CD case, two keys, a ring, a paper, and I can’t get out!!! A pox, I say! What dancing man? What am I not doing?

I remember that game! I had to get hints eventually. Some of the spots were still hard to find even knowing where to look.

Here’s a previous discussion of it:

I got out, and without help from the spoilers above!!

Mind you, I still don’t understand the point of the CD case

I got out, finally. I couldn’t have done it without the dancing man hints, though. I kept clicking the crosshair while the movie was playing.

Did anyone email the dude?

So, I’m out. What’s the point of the CD case though?

Damn you Dancing Man! I’m clicking on your crosshairs, both before the movie ends and after the movie ends. I hate you!!!

It’s to hold the AOL CD, which you got by using the postage stamp on the magazine subscription card (which signed you up for all sorts of junk mail) which you put in the mail box on the street outside by convincing the pigeon that you freed from inside the mattress to fly through the window, which you broke using the stick of dynamite (which you lit by short-circuiting the two batteries) that was inside the attic door on the ceiling, which you climbed to by tipping over the desk onto the mattress, which you removed from the bed by using the rope that you had originally planned to use to hang yourself because you couldn’t figure out how to get out of the dang room.

Duh.

Oops, I meant to quote this:

Fifteen minutes…neat little game.

The site claims he’s working on a sequel. If anyone sees it, please alert the rest of us.

I did it… I clicked around more and now know that you all weren’t really crazy (“dancing man”… is that anything like the “smoking man”, I was saying to myself). I made my way out and found this game to be a nice lil time waster.

Thanks weird Japanese guy!!

W-h-o-a…
this freaked me out a bit:

haha, crimson room was fairly easy compared to this one. I’m still stuck in the hand room.
