Crocs (the shoes): what do you think?

Oh, is that what those are? I’ve seen 'em, but I never knew what they were called. And now RickJay has put into words my instinctive reaction to them:

They look like shoes made out of wiffle balls.

They are a huge don’t that should not be seen by the light of day.

I have them in fuschia and just adore them. I fought it and fought it and waited so long that I had to get a friend in Missouri to get them for me. I am so glad I did, even if they look like oven mitts. Comfy AND they make your ankle look smaller.

They’re frickin’ great. Try them on in the store and fall in love.

There’s already one convert of mine in this thread. There WILL be two!

Crikey.

While edible, Crocs have no nutritional value -

They are, however, great for boating.

I’d never buy the original Crocs, but I checked out their website after Merneith said there are different styles, I thought I might buy some of the more attractive ones.

From the looks of the material, it seems like they would make your feet sweat and give you blisters. Do they do that?

I don’t wear 'em. I wear these just about every day. They’re 'spensive, but they are cool and comfy and last forever and you can walk through rivers with 'em.

My mother wears them. She’s a rather large woman who wears bright colors anyway and has a job that involves her being on her feet all day. She LOVES them and rarely wears anything else, having switched to Crocs from her usual Birkenstocks.

I’m pretty sure my mother is straight but you never know. :dubious:

Zooooommmmmmmmbbbbbbbbbeeeeeeeee!

I love my Crocs, but they’re so noisy! *screeek-flap…screek-flap…screek-flap.

Anybody else have this problem?

I have umpteen of em’ and I can’t live without em’! My mom got knock off kinds and she hates them. I think it’s worth the price to get them. You can wear them with anything, I do. Buy one pair and see what you think about them.

We got a pair for each of the kids last summer - they’re great going-to-the-pool shoes. I think they look sorta dumb for anything else. I do have one friend who loves wearing them for gardening; they provide protection for the toesies and are easy to clean off the mud.

Funny but :smack: story from Moon Unit. We were told to send her to camp with sneakers, and a pair of shoes that could get wet. That’s why we bought the crocs. Guess which pair she wore the day they went wading the creek? :smack: :smack: :smack:
