Ah, I didn’t see the thing about the letter about Lindey Boylan. That’s an additional reason that Andrew is a slimeball, and if Chris advised him to do that then sure he’s culpable too.
Cry me a freakin’ river, Governor-for-not-much-longer:
A bumped thread on now-Gov. Kathy Hochul: Hochul [Now NY Gov. Kathy Hochul] - #15 by Elendil_s_Heir
He sent all us New York(state)ers an email. (All? Can’t be. Must be just those of us who signed a petition or something at some point and thereby got on the gummint email list.) I think he should have left well (?) enough alone.
They took his Emmy, too.
I’m sorry but “reach for the skies” is another way of saying “surrender”. It’s what you do after tossing down your weapon as you’re being captured by the enemy.
I get what Andy is trying to say but his phrasing is really poor,
Even though Cuomo is gone, the fallout continues. The President and CEO of Time’s Up, Tina Tchen, resigned today after reporting showed she was more involved than previously known in consulting with Cuomo’s office over initial allegations of sexual harassments. Particularly, she directed Time’s Up staff to “stand down” from releasing a public statement supporting Cuomo’s first accuser after their board chair had conversations with his advisers
Y’know, when it’s time to leave, leave. Especially if you had talked a big game about being a “fighter” but came realize there’s no hope.
“Reach for the sky (singular)” is the usual American form of the expression for “hands up!”
“Reach for the stars” is the expression for trying for greater achievement.
So yeah, man got a bit confused on the way out.
Even Sheriff Woody knows that.
maybe his speech writer was having a laugh at his expense.
The latest development:
> Chris Cuomo now accused of sexual misconduct.
Odd story that involves him apologizing the next day in an email. It was his former boss and she said it was about power and not sexual harassment.
Where does this fall in the court of public opinion?. I would think an immediate apology helps him with forgiveness but it also opens the door for more women to come forward if such exist.
.
He apologize to her husband , who witnessed it.
He apologized to her in an email which is a paper trail and he did it immediately so he knew he did something wrong.
I would think this is sufficient to get him off the hook.
The complaint:
You probably don’t get an orange jumpsuit for a misdemeanor, but that would be a cool visual.
To the lack of surprise of most people, new details are emerging that Chris Cuomo had a much bigger role in helping his brother than previously suggested.
CNN host Chris Cuomo used his sources in the media world to seek information on women who accused his brother Andrew Cuomo, then the governor of New York, of sexual harassment, according to documents released Monday by the New York Attorney General’s Office.
While Chris Cuomo has previously acknowledged advising his brother and his team on the response to the scandals, the records show that his role in helping the then-governor was much larger and more intimate than previously known.
Man, what a family.
Somewhere, I suspect, Mario is face-palming.
Maybe. There was some reason he always refused to run for president – the Dems were practically begging him.
