Sorry fer the triple post,but how did Nancy Zerg do after defeating Ken Jennings?
I saw her for the first time tonight.
(After watching Jeopardy for years, my current work schedule has gotten in the way of seeing the show on a regular basis.)
Anyway, she is cute as a bug, smart as they come, and quietly confident. I hope she hangs on for a while, but I don’t think she’ll pass Ken Jennings.

Her husband’s name is Jeff Hoppes. Her sister Arianna Kelly also competed previously.
Tonight’s “Final Jeopardy!” was squarely in the “if you didn’t know it, you could easily figure it out using logic” category:
The clue’s reference was to a film that basically unfolded in real time from around 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., leading me to correctly guess “What is High Noon?”
She is beating people with big totals. Loser today had 38 k.
Now I kind of wish she’d show a little bit of emotion at all when she wins… today she didn’t show any at all! I can’t tell if it’s just nerves or maybe she’s never outgoing.
She cracked a smile, briefly, right after winning tonight. Sort of cute and awkward because she was obviously trying to hold back.
She lost the very next night. She later wrote about her experiences for Guideposts magazine.
Did anyone else notice the woman she beat last night turn her back and walk off stage? I think she was sure she would win, but Larissa took her out.

It’s a very, very sad day. Fortunately, Trebeck said that she’ll return for the Tournament of Champions (which I had forgotten about), so at least we have that to look forward to.
It was those two wrong answers on the Daily Doubles that did her in. I got the first one, chevalier (sp?) and I’m surprised she didn’t get it. Poor thing…still, $222K+ isn’t anything to sneeze at.
What happened?? I just caught Final Jeopardy and was shocked – SHOCKED! Were there a lot of current pop culture questions (I noticed in past games that she doesn’t do well with those)?
So,
Is there any chance that her husband will leave her in disgust, freeing her up to run into my consoling arms?
We Dopers should make a pact, that if any of us lands her, we share.
