When someone in the family reminds me of something incredibly obvious, or mentions they are doing something simple (‘It’s raining, so I think I’ll take an umbrella’), I will respond enthusiastically with ‘Good thinking, 99!’
For years, the kids had no idea where that came from.
And when they found out, I’m guessing there was a collective groan
