Custom Licence Plates — Seen in the Wild

That’s how their kid pronounces “blintzes”?

January 3 is Daddy’s birthday? Or somebody’s first (or only) child’s birthday?

Probably unrelated, but JAN3 is a bitcoin thing.

I saw GN2SOCR and SOCRMOM in the same parking lot, but they were not parked next to each other, so I do not think they are related. Apparently, the morning rush hour is the best place to meet people, at least according to U␣SINGLE. It probably is not a good idea to try to outrace the red car with 5_DRAGNS, as I think dragon power is more than horsepower. I do hope that BEOWLF does not run into a Grendel as that is certainly likely to put a snarl in the commute.

Today I saw MKYMOM on my way to work. I’m assuming she’s either really into Mickey Mouse or has a kid named Mickey/Mikey. And on the way home ARIEZ. Maybe “ARIES” was already taken and someone is into astrology.

I might not be remembering this exactly right but it was more or less:

TA2INE

I wonder if the driver was going to Tosche Station to pick up some power converters.

It took Luke over forty years, but he finally managed to complete that errand.

I saw a rather clever one on a rather over the hill smaller car…“4U2NV”

LOVERX

“Honey, now that Elon Musk has bought Twitter, he’s changing the name to ‘X’.”
“Um, how much does it cost to get a different personalized plate?”

Somewhat in keeping, lots of good thoughts driving around from 2LOVE (which immediately reminded me of the priest in Princes Bride) to LUV4A11, SM1L1N, the cheerful greeting SUP␣GANG and the very calm ZEN␣VIBE. Of course it has to end some time as SE␣ACABO* reminded me.

* It has finished in Spanish.

I certainly do not WNA␣CYBR with whoever was driving the delporian (Cyber Truck) on my way home.

I think I might have spotted a Bob Marley fan sporting 1NE␣LUV though that is possibly me projecting the reason behind the choice like thinking that the person who chose HI␣WRLD must be a computer programmer. At least DATA␣ENG seems clear enough.

What exactly MOM␣GOD means eludes me though. Is it the order in which their loyalty lies (first to their Mom, then to God)? Is it a feminist message about God being female? No other clues were evident. I had no problems understanding GRROOVY though.

Somewhat perplexing: MAYOMIKE on a white Mercedes sedan. A reference to the dressing? The clinic? His complexion?

I saw a small Mercedes crossover with a retirement-aged man driving. A pretty typical easy-in/easy-out geezermobile for the well-heeled. The FL standard plate read EMDR4U. Thanks doc; I bet you saw some crazy shit over your career in Emergency.

I saw a soccer Mom mobile with an FL themed plate that supports orphans & foster kids. With the tag reading SPONSOR. Evidently somebody who takes their special interests seriously. Good for them. But …

They came to my attention as they blasted past me doing 30-something in an active school zone while I was doing the required 15. Evidently their commitment to child well-being is sorta … conditional … ?

I saw a Tesla Model Y with one of the FL themed plates that only holds 5 characters. It said SW33T.

For a long time there was a car in my work garage that had the plate BUKKAKE. This was at least 10-15 years ago.

Heh, I just saw a plate today that said MAR1CON* not sure if the driver was applying it to themselves or all the other drivers.

*Maricon is an insult in Spanish

More likely was the ride of a specialized psychotherapist:

… Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy technique that helps patients process and relieve symptoms from traumatic experiences. Developed in 1987 by Francine Shapiro, EMDR involves patients discussing traumatic memories while engaging in bilateral stimulation, such as side-to-side eye movements or tapping.

TIL. THKYOU. MAYBE. MYBENOT.

Ran an errand on my lunch today and saw FLYT RSK and THE CURE in the same parking lot

You definitely hang out in … interesting … parking lots.

I feel like this car belongs to a teenager:

Either to a teenager or the person who has to teach the student driver.
