Saw either MINS CAR or MIMS CAR this morning, it was dark and I only got a quick look before the light changed.
I just saw CAJUN . . . on a New Mexico plate.
(In lieu of a front license plate, he had a plate that said LSU.)
I saw B1G␣VAN on a quite regular sized van. Maybe it is aspirational? And a Canadian JOHANA␣E ![]()

Rather ominously, FINALLY.
Maybe finally they could afford a custom plate. … or a decent car?
TORTA, someone who really likes sandwiches. Alternatively, a bit of a slur.
Today: MALWARE
Really?
I bet plenty of people in Silicon Valley owe their nice paychecks to the existence of malware. Not that they create it, but the need to create defenses against it provides good employment to a lot of good people.
I once apologized to a janitor when I spilled something within sight of the guy. He said “Don’t worry. If people didn’t spill I wouldn’t have a job.”
Thoughtful cops are grateful there are crooks. etc. Your car owner is (probably) darn glad there’s malware to fight.
Red Jeep Commander with KEPT_1
I saw a Jeep Wrangler with one of FL’s 5-character plates. It said WVAGL.
WV might be West Virginia. Or the W is “with” and something is “with vagel”?
I’m lost. Anyone have a theory?
West Virginia Gal?
Wild guess.
Ah, that would be the broken window theory of economic development. ![]()
Yeah. If you add up the total cost of all the deterrence, prevention, and cleanup efforts over human malfeasance, plus the opportunity cost of all the good works not done by people who’re voluntarily engaged in bad works, it’s a phenomenal amount of value.
We could live in a much nicer world. If only for human nature.
HELIES, politics?
2GODBGLY - To God Bigly, but I guess there could be other interpretations.
I’d guess, “To God be the glory,” which is a Christian hymn, IIRC.
On a Jeep Wrangler Sahara: JAYHARA
He walked into the restaurant I was in. I called out, “Are you Jay?” He was.
One and a half today:
-
A golf-themed plate with TEE⎵JMA. The “tee” part is easy. JMA is initials? I was trying to make it be something in Spanish or French, but not quite having it.
-
An ordinary plate with the ordinary non-personalized RET⎵S08. Which I originally read as RET⎵SOB = “retired S.O.B.” Which I thought would actually be a pretty cool plate to have were one a curmudgeon.
Out and about today since I had the day off. Saw CHIRP25 on a Ball State Cardinals plate and PHYZICS with an “I’d Rather Be Flying” license plate border.
Here in MA I spotted LGMETS which must have been tough this season.
