**Bumba **. I put in a soap order when you get a chance to take a look. They all sound deliteful. I love soap.
I have an early morning appt for the vampire. Gotta get blood tests in order to fill my scripts. Then CT scan on Tuesday and back to ENT on Firday. This week is chock full of medical stuff plus a busy irk week finishing up first of the month.
Hubby has decided he will drive to Jawja next weekend to see his new great grand baby. One problem is his car was flooded in Irma so he will have to rent one. I tried to talk him into just flying instead of two days on the road but he wants to be able to come and go as the mood strikes him.
Happy belated Sunny. I can’t remember if I told you or not and thanks for the information.
FYI carrentals.com says next weekend’s prices at Hartsfield are $15.00 day plus taxes/fees. That’s for name brand rental agencies, not cars from “Honest Bubba’s Ratty Old Fords.”
The map says it’s 821 miles from Key West to Atlanta. So a round trip drive is ~$800 of full-up cost on your car, plus meals, plus a hotel each way if he can’t hack 13-14 straight hours on the road.
You can buy a lot of airfare for $800 even without considering the value of ~16 hours saved in faster travel.
OTOH, since Irma he may be feeling pretty trapped at the end of nowhere and just wants to spend some time in the big flat part of FL cruisin’ up the turnpike.
I did too; 4 RB & a curly fry - a cheap, filling lunch.
I coulda used a (cheap or not) chardonnay, or a good Riesling. J2 walked in & asked why do I smell garlic bread? I was making scampi. No white w(h)ine meant a little substitution. The recipe called for 2 cloves of garlic; I used 5½ large cloves; not only will no vampires be calling on me tonight, the neighbors are safe as well.
Didn’t hate ≠ good so suck it, dirt-y bottomed one. :dubious:
Wish I got to see it. I was in the car when the moon was low (& large); hopefully the next two month’s super moons are on cloudless nights. I did manage to get outside for a few minutes last night but there were some cirrus clouds by the time I got out. Made it kinda cool (no flash, tripod & remote shutter release, F10 @ 13 seconds). I wanna do some more night shooting w/ my friend; however, we’re going for a cloudless, moonless night, preferably on the weekend, where she’s not working her second (Xmas season) job. Yup, as you probably guessed, all of those conditions are why we haven’t done it yet. I have an awesome picture idea if we can pull it off.
I agree Flyguy. When I told him he should save all that time instead of driving he said part of going is to get away from his A/C business for a little bit. He has an employee who can run things for a few days. He also is interested in buying a new service vehicle so that may be part of the driving desire. Of course, he could change his mind and fly. It is less than two hours non stop to ATL. I refuse to spend that much time in a car anymore.
