Cyber Monday in the MMP

**Flytrap **- $400?? The one in the store was $200 and with various on-line discounts, I paid $130. What the heck did you buy?

**Alien **- if my grandkid is 6’8", it’ll definitely be a fluke of genetics, since no one in either family is within 6" of that height!

We let the pellet stove run out overnight so we could test the furnace. It was 65° in the house when I got up, so I bumped the thermostat to 67° and I heard the furnace come on. But almost instantly, the house temp showed 67°, and before I could raise the thermostat any more, it kicked off. Dammit. So I set it at 72°, but it still hasn’t come back on. I assume there’s some sort of safety reason. I’ll give it a little longer before I get pissed. So I’m sitting here in the chill and I don’t want to re-pellet the stove yet.

We’ll get breakfast, then run to WalMart for dog kibbles (which I could have gotten yesterday, but forgot) and home to de-leaf the yard. Only 2 loads of laundry this week - yay! And I’ll put a little more time into clearing the future baby’s bedroom. Gotta find homes for all my craft stuff.

Yep, another exciting day at FairyChatEstates! Happy Saturday!

Selling at a craft fair today. Not really ready for it. Darn.

Moooom, have you looked into under bed storage boxes. I have a couple on one side and one lengthwise that I pull out from the end on the other ( a queen sized bed isn’t quite wide enough to put two on either side but a king would be). They’re right handy.

emily, the ca\raft fair thing will be me in a couple of weeks. I am doing it reluctently.

Up, breakfasted and caffeinating. There’s a load of towels in the wash and I’ll be purtifying shortly to go get the oil changed. Such an exciting life.

Long since up and all the important stuff of the day is done: my eyeballs have reached their target jiggle rate and I’m caught up on the 'Dope.

Slept through sunrise this time. Now time for food on an otherwise lovely Saturday. I had an omelet at a cafe yesterday and brought half home. They don’t reheat all that well, but what the heck. It’s filled with corned beef hash, grilled onions, & swiss. Yum. Put some fruit along with that and I’ll have a complete meal.

No little saplings, for which we are grateful.

Heard lots of gunshots, & saw, literally, dozens of deer. If only we were in Texas where balloon hunting is legal.

We survived pants shoppin’ and :eek:The Maul. Actually we never entered :eek:The Maul:eek: proper. We went to Belk, J.C. Penny and Dillard’s which are three of the big stores and thus easy to exit one outside and go into the other. OYKW bought three pairs of pants and I just ordered him five more pairs online from Belk. I got 'em cheaper online than in the store. Now that that is done, I foresee nappage in my near future.

Hunter S. Thompsom supposedly hunted deer from a helicopter with dynamite.

I don’t mind the balloons, they’re quiet. It’s the helicopters I’d like to hunt. They’re noisy and fly too damn low over the house.

Another exciting day selling soap. 11am to 7pm today. Yawn I made $600-$700 last year doing this. I made $129 last night. Iffen people don’t step up and start buying I’m gonna quit doing this. Of course, one problem is, there were two other soap makers there yesterday. I used to be the onliest one around here. And I’m still the best. No brag, just fact.
I’ve been wanting to quit anyway.

Hunter S. Thompson was an ass.

Hope you’ve got the electric co. sorted Nut.
And glad OYKW has pants now. I imagine the neighbors do too. :stuck_out_tongue:

Later.

That seems inefficient, but possibly amusing. (The balloon thing)

I am awake with coffee. Husband wants breakfast. If we eat it here, he wants help making it. If we go out, I have to pay someone. Why are mornings so hard?

I guess we’re going out since my brain is this fuzzy.

**red **- I have 3 underbed bins, tho one is for FCD’s far-too-numerous t-shirts. One will be for yarn, and I think the other will be for books. My stencil stuff will go down in my studio, and so far, all the sewing stuff is fitting in the hall closet.

The biggie will be the futon mattress - we can disassemble the frame, but there’s no place to put the mattress that mice or dampness won’t get to it. Maybe I’ll just sell the whole thing and worry about replacing it when the kids move out. Or give it to the kids now - they’re storing SIL’s sofa at his mom’s house.

Meanwhile, laundry is started. I still need to water the house plants. Chores never end…

Bit soon there, they just put up the updated bill on the account; £346.53. sigh

ding ding
Round 2!

None more so than I.

I achieved nappage and am now eatin’ popcorn. Life is good.

My turkey has been in the fridge since Wed and is still not thawed. I have it in some water now for a little while. I want to cook it in the morning. It is only a tad over 12 pounds. I would have thought it would be thawed by now. Anyway, I made the cornbread I will need for my dressing and a trip to the store is in order for some onions and celery.

I have been slothful most of the day. I guess I should get dressed and go to the store so I won’t have to go in the morning when I start cooking.

My hubby’s great grand baby is going to be born on the 5th. She was due the 12th, his birthday, but she is breech so they will do a C section if the baby does not turn by the 5th. He is probably going to go to be there even though he says he has too much work to do to take off. I think he should wait at least a couple weeks as mother and father need time to bond and granddaughter will be sore and not up for visitors but that’s just my opinion. Whatever. I know I will not be going anywhere for a long time.

Do not forget garlic and mushrooms.

**FCD **had a nap. I watched the first 2 episodes of season 3 of Broadchurch while crocheting. Higgs as been fed. As soon as the N.O.T. tots are done, we shall have our ribs and tots.

Full moon tonight? It’s really big and bright!

My phone sez the Moon’s 99% just now. Max full is 1048am eastern tomorrow the 3rd. From where I sit it’s hiding behind another building.

Wife napped a bunch of the day, is working now. While I Doped & read and Doped and read. Plus an hour on the roof of our building with the roofing contractor. Being on the board of directors of a condo is a rewarding PITA.

Now there’s a pork loin slow-roasting in the oven & the prep’s done for salad, green beans, and soon-to-be mashed curried sweet potatoes. A nice Cabernet beckons as well. Wife’s sis will be joining us soon. Which is always fun.

Tonight is the grand unveiling of our town’s Christmas decs at the beach. Which includes snow, ice skating, and lots of cute kiddie stuff. We might go see that at the end of the evening. There’s nothing that brings out that Olde Tyme Currier & Ives nostalgia like seeing the brightly lit jumping Christmas porpoises and the dancing Christmas flamingoes. Yeah, Florida be weird.

Christmas music at Kroger along with the cell phone serial killer.

dammit

Watchin’ my dawgs chow down on War Chikin. Plus I have some Hershey’s Special Dark Kisses[sup]TM[/sup]. All is good.

I thought they caught the killer. What does that have to do with Kroger?

'Beamer and hubby are off to see Wonder at the movies. I am hanging out with the napping dogs.

No idea what shall be done about dinner. It will be a surprise.
