Tis Thursday. Woo frickin’ Hoo.
Who still has Tanksgivin’ leftovers? That would be me.
Tis Thursday. Woo frickin’ Hoo.

What could possibly cheer up a gloomy Thursday morning?
How about a nice international mailstorm?
Oh Joy! Huzzah! Bliss!
Not.
There will be Uncomfortable Questions for someone after this dies out. (And it’s not me, yay!) Someone managed to send a message to as far as I can tell, every single email address in the company,:smack: :eek::eek: and as people wake up and find a mailbox packed with 100+ messages, they hit Reply All and either say “Remove me from this list!” or “Stop hitting Reply All!” which only perpetuates the mess.
At least our Exchange server farms are strong like ox and are barely sweating under the load.
gotti you could hit “reply all” and say “stop hitting reply all to remove me from this mailing list” then everybody could hit “reply all” and say “good idea!” This could go on for hours! Loads of irk fun!
I wish we’d had more, I didn’t even get a turkey sandwich that that just sux.
“If each of you would send in one dollar…”
I do. And my mom and I (well, mostly her) just made turkey enchiladas. Want to come over?
Serious response: hit “reply all,” and ask them all to cut it out, then cut and paste the recipients’ list from To: to Bcc: so that even if the do “Reply all” to your mail, only you will get it.
Gotti, unless NYU has been magically transported to Charlotte, your company ain’t the only one… Must be the season for it.
Happy Thursday!
Up and working but barely made it. I got my new phone yesterday and forget to set my alarms, and the new phone is doing the same as the old phone so unless I was just unlucky enough to get two defective phones I think the problem is elsewhere.
Spidey If we can’t chase the clouds away who can?
Rosie a special happy dance for you!
Tao have a safe trip and if ipads are anything like tablets they’re easy. Although any amount of typing becomes a real pain in the arse.
FCM I guess I didn’t win either
I haven’t checked my tickets yet.
Swampy if I won a few bucks I’ll send you some cookies. I just remembered there’s some eclairs out in the fridge. I know what I’m having for breakfast
I hate SolidWorks - have I mentioned that in the last 10 minutes?? It may be great for designing and analyzing, but when it comes to doing drawings, it sucketh mightily. At least, it’s not intuitive as far as I’m concerned. It makes me stabby!!
Incidentally, tomorrow is the last day of the Hurricane Season, so there’s that.
Lunch is done. Back to work. SolidWorks sucks! <headdesk>
Is it lunch o’clock yet?
I need a kitchen faucet cuz the plumber is coming on Tuesday to do the water heater and I figured he might as well install the new faucet. Of course I cannot find a new faucet and I’m convinced I will never find a new faucet and I will be stuck with the old one and it leaks and I will have a million dollar water bill and water will be all over the kitchen and and and…
Pass me a Valium.
Back from the Vet. Lucky Louie did fine and has nice clean choppers. Plus they cut his nails really short. Boy am I glad that is over.
Other than that now I have the rest of the day off irk:D
I should hook you up with one of my coworkers. He has to use SolidWorks all the time and listening to him complain is quite amusing.
In other news, I’ve officially won NaNoWriMo. And now I’m off to write more.
Congrats Shiny Cat!
Yay for Lucky Louie clean teeth and short pawnails Butters!
BBBobbio that was funny.
The idea of one hundred duck sized horses amuses me to no end.
N.O.L. was beast stew. It’s nice to have little containers of stuff like that in the freezer. Take one out, bring it to irk, let thaw in refrigerator and nuke. I also shopped for tires for twuck (poor thing needs new shoes) and found some online from Sears, so I ordered 'em to be sent to the local store. The store will allegedly call me when they get ‘em so’s I can bring twuck by for his new shoes installation. They swear this will happen but I can’t help but feel like it’s all a little bit fluffy puppies, kitties and unicorns dancin’ on a rainbow to actually trust but I did it anyway. We shall see.
ETA: Congrats ShinyCat! YAY!!!
Yes please!
and congrats on the win!
As always happens on the Dope, mention an obscure detail and someone will have had a recent experience with it. ![]()
Yes, we just installed a kitchen faucet. Usually I like Moen but this Delta fit all our requirements, plus you simply touch it to turn in on in whatever setting you left it, hot or cold, strong or weak flow, whatever. It’s nice for cooking if your hands are full, dirty, you name it. If there’s one drawback it’s that every other sink you go to you do a similar ‘touch’ and nothing happens. :smack:
They are and I know that’s never a given, so I’m extremely grateful to be so blessed. Yanno, it’s simply amazing what a difference it makes just in your ease and relaxation level when at home. It’s like you’re living in a MMP. ![]()
Home. Got a pot of chickie soup with tarragon (N.O.t.
) simmering on the stove - it smells yum! **FCD **will have his over rice and I’ll have mine over noodles, so the rice is steaming right now and I’ll get to the noodles in a bit.
Hmmmm, what else? Not much. Just another day in paradise. Rah.
Today was trash day; Thansgiving is officially history, not even the empty tin foil is left, & the fridge looks so…so…so empty…empty…empty {Sorry, it’s echoing in there.}
Also there’s a big problem with the pupsicle; when I emptied the bacuum canister, there was more dirt than hair. What is wrong with him that he’s not shedding that much?
Sorry, Swampy, I only cuddle with those that have bumpy bits, & if *you *have them then you are cut off from cookies!
Sari, since I like to play with (really big) balloons, cloud chaser has double meaning for me. Which makes me realize, we need an emoticon for nudge.
::nudge, nudge:: say no more.
