Makes sense to me, let’s do that.
I am willing to have Thoroncir give up his bow, BTW, if that would help him in another way. He very rarely used it.
I almost have Thoroncir’s first pass done. I’m trying to come up with a pair of feats that make sense.
Everyone should take a look at the skills when they get a chance. Also maybe the tools, especially Hoopy Frood.
@Glee, did you get the Word Doc with Ghân-buri-Ghân?
@Hoopy_Frood, are you doing your conversion of Bitur or am I? Do you know which way you want to go with the character? Do you have the old copy of Bitur to work from?
@kenobi_65, same question basically.
@John_DiFool: You’re working on yours, is that correct?
@NAF1138: I’m starting on Gwaelur based on the last 1st Ed. version and our conversations back and forth.
I have my old sheet; I’ll work on a 5E translation for Ceol over the next few days.
Thanks! I trust you, and I think you understand what I am going for and, frankly, know what you are doing a heck of a lot more than I do.
It looks like this needs a response: Everyone gets 1 special. I gave you a choice of 4. Which do you want?
The character previously had +10 vs Magic and +12 vs Poison. Would those carry over in addition or would this replace?
No, those have to go, different system. So this is a replacement.
Well to keep close to the original I should probably take the +magic
Don’t feel locked into staying as close to original, afterall it has been 8 years and I’m going to ignore some of the past.
My other thought would be horde breaker but I’m not sure I understand it as written.
If the other creature is within 5 feet and I could hit it I can get a bonus attack, but only if I’m at a disadvantage?
It is written for briefness, not clarity, sorry.
If you fight more than one foe, and they are all in reach, you just get a free attack on a 2nd target basically. Meant for fighting Orcs & Goblins especially.
That seems handy as I make Gwaelur more and more a melee guy.
Just sent the first draft to you NAF.
I like it. No specific Mithril anymore huh?
I can do the conversion. I don’t have an old copy of Bitur, I don’t think I ever got a character sheet of him, actually, since he started as an NPC which I took over after the first couple of adventures.
I’ve got extensive experience with 3/3.5, and a bit of experience with 5 Ed, so I can probably build the character myself.
Looking at the Dwarf, they get a tool proficiency of Artisan tools, but have to choose between smithing, brewing, or masonry. Can I replace that with proficiency in tinkering tools (which are also an Artisan proficiency)? And we are level 5, correct?
Not sure I understand, what mithril?
Yes, thank you - an excellent piece of work.
I’m looking forward to the game.
My last notes (which may be out of date) show me as having dwarven steel Mithril bolts for the crossbow that are unbreakable and +4hit/+8 damage. It’s possible he lost them all before the end of the last campaign though. No biggie.
Also, is he a mountain or a hill dwarf? I know each of those gets certain racial bonuses, but I don’t know if they were taken into account.
