Does stealth mode mean I have to take off my armour? Because, um, I don’t wanna.
Mostly a joke and the point that we won’t be real stealthy, but Moose stands out for a long distance, he is a lot taller than a horse.

Ok, whew. I don’t know what it is like to go up against an HK, but I REALLY don’t what to know what it is like to go up against an HK without armour.

Besides, even in armour I still make less noise than your average human.

I don’t about that last part. Dwarves are overall less stealthy than men.

Not after those beans you had for lunch!

I’ll be the lightly-armored idiot taking on the Uruk-Hai. Hopefully I won’t have to rely on short range heroics again.

That’s just what humans tell you. Don’t you believe it.
Walk in.

Close call as to invisibility - it’d be easier for Thoroncir to protect Renee if he could see her, but overall she’d be safer if she were invisible. On balance, probably best if she remained invisible and moved to the rear when fighting breaks out, so he could focus entirely on the enemy.
The problem is having two people (plus cat) Invisible.
Imagine both of them trying to move to the rear when the combat starts - even assuming there is a rear in such open country…
You can probably get another 10 miles closer if you want with the horses. This will be the easiest march anyway. Probably quite doable in 4 hours. Gil-Gandel’s plan for the horses being led by Cúran is sound, but they may be safer yet with the calvary.

Speaking of Moose, he will stand out a bit. Perhaps he should plan to stay behind with the horses if you are hoping for stealth.
We should definitely use the mounts.

We save time and effort going in; Gil-Gandel has an excellent plan to protect them; if we need to leave in a hurry, we will want them.

As it appears we have no consensus, perhaps our Elf-captain should decide.

I have no strong opinion about riding. It may make things slightly easier with identifying Invisible people if we’re on horseback.

What am I being asked to decide? Mode of transport or invisibility?

Hey, you’re the leader, you get all the fun jobs.

Both of 'em :stuck_out_tongue:

I think we need you to decide on both.

Let’s have the odd ten miles with the horses then, and then turn them loose as I suggested before. As to invisibility, I don’t think we should over-complicate matters. Carried to its logical conclusion we could have Deor turn us all invisible until we met our first enemy, but I think we make as many problems as we solve that way. Have him cast it on himself if he likes, but let the rest of us make shift in our own manner; we already know that Healers are seldom troubled while there is a more dangerous foe to be fought.

Weird simul post, please see the game thread, and make this statement there then. For the record, I as the ref agree with your decisions. Renee does not need it and should be fine. Besides, how then with Thoroncir be able to moon over her?

Or moon her.*

I sent a map of the area of Ered Lithui we will be in to everyone. Is anyone having problems getting my attachments. I am trying to keep them all small to avoid issues.

I was working on the game thread in spare moments, but a power hit killed my PC.

I have received the message, but not the attachment.

Could you try sending it again please?
