Well, I hope you don’t get any flooding then, Swampy. That’s a long-ass detour.
I made some delicious apple bread and just finished a nice warm slice of it. I was worried it wasn’t going to turn out well because I didn’t stick to my standard recipe. The batter just seemed too “dry”, so altered the recipe a wee bit and added skidge of cream and a couple of dollops of sour cream. I didn’t have apple cider, juice or sauce, so I improvised.
After I put the batter in the loaf pan, I made a crumble with cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar and a little white sugar and sprinkled that on top of the batter.
Anyway, it’s quite delicious and I am having difficulty restraining myself from going back for a second slice.
