Damit! I have to become a Red Sox fan! Pit me.

Throw the Dodgers into the mix, and Qwisp and I are brothers in pain!

Ya gotts belieeeeeeeve!

They hooked me in '75. Still waiting for that balance :frowning:

But the fun part is that sometimes they DO make the World Series. In fact, they’re about due.

It’s when they make it there that they might pull off the really spectacular chokeplosion. See Game 6, 1986 World Series.

That’s what you get for being a Dodgers fan.

Yes, I know I have no room to speak.

I’m going away now.

Oh god, I believe. The pain. The suffering. The horrors. The hope. The miserable, god-damn hope. We WILL persevere. Someday.

At least in my old office, misery had company. Now I live in Astros land. (San Antonio where stupid Fox is not showing the end of the Game.)

Born a member of the Red Sox Nation.

Hey, Dob, you watching?

Top of 14th, 4-4, Wakefield still on the mound. I hope you opted for the backup battery on the defibrillator.

This is just too painful! They’re gonna go 16 innings and lose, I just know it!

Ortiz is God!!!

Holy shit! That was painful! Both teams played shittily- and I only got to listen to it! Nevermind actually watch it!

But we won!!!

This is a series now! We have a chance! It’ll go to game 7. Usually does.

God, 14 innings.

Actually, much is being made of the fact that in the history of MLB, no team has ever gotten to game 7 after coming back from a 3-0 deficit. And this is only the third case of such a team going to game 6.

We spotted the Spankees 3 games. Now it’s our turn to have some fun.

I sure hope your sterilization skills are sound before giving “the Needle” in such a brutal way.

Yeah, people seem to forget this. I wanted the sweep, now I just want the win.

That game actually caused me to consider whether Supernatural Forces might indeed be at work in the Universe.

holy crap…I am so screwed now! I was hoping this desire to become a Sox faithful would fade with a game 5 loss…but OH NO, nothing is that easy. The cement boots are now on, and I am being driven to the bridge.

If by some miracle the Sox win, or at least look good tonight, I am lost :frowning: The cold waters of the Red Sox nation will wash over my head and I will spend my eternity wishing for the days when I could care less about baseball!!!
On the bright side tho, what a great freakin’ game!!

Big Papi for Prez…

I refused to wear rally caps when Dave said they needed the help. He put it on my pregnant belly. The Sox won. Coincidence?

Which is simply evidence that the 2004 Red Sox are a Team of Destiny. Game 1 of the Series is Saturday, Pedro vs. Roger at Fenway. Be there. Aloha.

Gotta love Ortiz being interviewed about the “Jankees”. How’re you Twins fans dealing with the knowledge that you actually released him? Thanks, btw.

Who knows. Who cares. Do it again.

You mean Moose vs. Roger

Another Red Sox fan is about to be born. Get the kid an Ortiz jersey for a blanket!
