You fucking did it, you bitch. You fired him. And you managed to bring tears to your eyes while you told the rest of us. Then you leave us to face watching him clean out his stuff while you go hide. Am I next? I’m not a pushover either, and I’ll argue when I need to. Arguing doesn’t mean I won’t respect you, when you fucking earn it. Until then, I don’t respect you at all.
I hear you, Lsura. The company that fired me two weeks ago has little or no respect for their employees, how can they expect any back? I am glad to be away from there. Definitely fight it if they are being assholes with little concern for the employees who make their money for them. For want of a nail… & What comes around goes around…
I hate this sort of thing. And she was able to squeeze out some crocidile tears? Good grief.
One thing about bosses - they sometimes assume that their employees respect them, well, because they are the boss. Not so. Respect has to be EARNED, it doesn’t matter how high (or low) you are on the totem pole.
I had one absolutely wicked, wretched, worthless, vain, absurd boss (well, I had several, but that’s a different story…) Anyway, I perfected the “deadpan stare”. Not disrespectful, not respectful, not deferential, not anything. Just blank This boss saw how animated I could be around everyone else, but around her - deadpan. I don’t know if it bugged her or not. But if she actually deluded herself that any of us had even a molecule of respect for her, she was on crack. (They fired her, or she quit, I forget.)
