Last time.
Well, we had it. We were few but we were great! I enjoyed meeting new friends and putting faces with names and watching the magic show. I’m an amateur magician (very amateur) and a very nice gentlemen was making the rounds doing closeup sleight of hand. And he was GOOD!
We even had a genuine small world, Twilight Zone experience.
One of the others (name withheld to protect the innocent, or possibly guilty 
) went to the same school I did and graduated about five years later. After a few more “Hey, do you remember…” episodes, he got this quizzical look on his face and said, “You know, I think we ran into each other back then. You used to date my sister.”
Turned out he was the younger brother of the first girl I ever kissed. I swear I heard strange, repetitive music and the voice of Rod Serling in there somewhere.
I’m definitely looking forward to the next one!!!

Sorry I couldn’t make it—my dad’s 80th birthday celebration ran over. Did Road Rash even make it? He called it, after all.
I missed it again!! I did say in an early thread that this weekend (and others) would be out. Ringo’s (probably much needed) sabbatical was still infinite at the time, and Ringo’ e-mail was blocked. Thus, I took a mini-sabbatical. If I had been paying attention, I would have suggested next week.
I was in San Antonio this weekend. Last Friday I went on a date with an college girl I knew 22 years ago. On Saturday, 17 of us skaters skated from bar-to-bar (Iron Armidillo, The Cove, Alibi’s, Blue Star…not in that order) and saw Fiesta (SA’s mardi gras), San Pedro springs park (the springs were gushing!), the Alamodome (totally awesome to skate around, never seen cars in the parking lot. We were quite a novelty, as skating is rare there.
The previous weekend I went to Scarborough Faire with a group of gamers, Including this board’s own Mamapotomis.
I skated from Ft. Worth to Dallas in March with a gang of Dallas drinking buddies.
In May, there is the Art Car parade, river rafting trip, sailing with my cousin in Austin.
