Nightwatch Trailer almost killed it, but Hal Briston brought it back after nearly 4 days of stagnation.

Here’s one of my favorite snippets, just for nostalgia’s sake:

Hal Briston(9:49 p.m.): What do you mean, ‘put to bed’? Like we ever sleep!
kittenlm(9:49 p.m.): OK, well, it’s time for bed now! good night everyone!

Thanks for the smiles, guys. It was great.

Dammit! Why does everything happen when I’m not here? It’s a curse I tells ya, a curse.

Anyways, congratulations Rufus. You earned it. It was a struggle, with plenty o’ zombie action but it was a laugh.

See you all for The Thread That Would Not Die (TTTWND) 2005!

We’re thinking too much alike, Rufus. I had planned to spend some time today compiling a list of stats and figures on IHKATAM’s life, but ya beat me to it. Damn, now what am I supposed to do with my workday??

Well, it was fun while it lasted, but it really was getting to be time for it to go. They’ll be more. There always are.

And damnit! Why did I have to think to myself “Oh, **Rufus ** put up a new post. I’ll just respond now and…oh, wait, *American Idol * is on in a minute. 'Eh, I’ll post after the show”. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ah-hah! I was right - it *was * the Thread That Would Not Die. If it hadn’t been killed off, the damned thing would have become immortal.

It sure lasted a long time - I’ve been two ISP’s, three banks, a mid-life crisis and a user-name change in the time it took that thread to get shuffled off this mortal coil.

Think it was something we said?
I call foul!
The Kings and Timberwolves distracted me! :frowning:
But the Wolves won! Weee! Lakers/Wolves game party at my house!
I logged on right after The Man got to it.

Congrats to Rufus Xavier! He is the top moloster!

I wanted to do “credits” too, but I guess Rufus has even less of a life than even I do. :stuck_out_tongue:
I did want to give a special thanks to the moderators for letting it go on as long as they did! It was fun!
Personally, I think they were just afraid that we were taking over.
My favorite quote:

And here I was just wondering why I hadn’t seen it pop up in my subscriptions list today.

Farewell, semi-immortal thread. Off to greener pastures for you!

You do realize that this thread will only pick up where we left off before, don’t you? Besides, looks like I’ve got some catching up to do!

Who did you used to be? (<— result of a public school education)

Great Googly Moogly, NO!
I haven’t the strength! :stuck_out_tongue:

Well then, I’m already that much closer to winning!

Now when have I heard that line before? Oh yes, I remember now…on April 23rd:

:stuck_out_tongue:

But, for the record, this should be allowed to die with dignity. Threadkilling contests pop up now and then, but having one when the old one hasn’t even reached room temperature is just too much.
And yes, it **was ** killed because they knew we were close to taking over. I expect a film by Oliver Stone eventually.
This was fun, and I’m looking forward to the next one, but I’m not looking for it for several months, at least.
