Thank GOD! It was painful to watch that old kook.
BTW, Carrie Anne was either Fook Yoo or Fook Mi in Goldmember.

For me, it wasn’t so much the bad dancing (or complete absence of dancing), as it was the incipient Alzheimer’s schtick. I bet Tom & Samantha are secretly delighted, and were tired of her wandering in & out of interviews 5 weeks ago.
Cloris should have been number 2 or 3 to go. She was just rude. But I chuckled despite myself when she blurted out “I’m not leaving” just before the axe was dropped. I thought they were going to have to chase her off the stage.
What surgery did Julianne Hough get?
She has endometriosis and had to have her appendix removed.
She said she had endometriosis, so they were removing her appendix.
Wow: simulpost – and we both spelled it right!
What does an appendix have to to with endometriosis? Is it a matter of cutting something useless out while they’re in there?
No, this was especially bad.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2IPiW_GfNI - not the best dance I’ve ever seen. But loads better than this week’s hip hop monstrosity.
I wondered about that myself. I checked the WebMD entry on endometriosis, and it never mentioned the appendix specifically, although it did say other innards could be impacted by the endometrium wandering around where it shouldn’t be.
Whoa, team passo doble kicked serious ass, and Brooke put in a very nifty foxtrot (of course, I am biased because I think “Lullaby of Birdland” is the sexiest song of all time).
I was really surprised at the difference in the team scores. I’d have guessed that for the first time they did such a gimmicky thing and forced the teams to share scores like that, they’d make sure they were only a few points apart, even if it was sort of an obviously bald-faced lie.
I thought the team dances weren’t very teamy, though. It was ‘dance together for 15 seconds, everyone do a solo, dance together for 15 seconds’. And during the everyone do a solo part, it appeared that the other couples disappeared from stage entirely – rather than doing something low profile on the sidelines while the soloing couple shined. Carrie Ann found Team Cha Cha’s unison terrible, but when did she have time to notice?
Brooke is freaking phenomenal. What’s her dance background? She has got to have one.
The disparity in the group scores pretty much puts Susan out, I think. I hope. She really needs to go. Pairing her with two pros definitely shows her weakness.
Laci Schwimmer - drama queen. Kick her off and give Lance Edyta. Laci doesn’t seem to understand what her role is.
Brooke was fabulous. Mostly the guys were bland.
StG
They say anything about Julianne last night? I won’t get a chance to watch it for a few days.
Yeah, she’s doing fine. They had a little clip of Cody and Edyta visiting her in the hospital.
And agree that Laci is all wrong for this show – am guessing this will be not only her first but her last season.
I actually like that Laci gives some personality to the Pros.
I can’t stand her. And I didn’t like her rumba either (it seemed to frantic.) I also don’t like the song.
I’m also not that fond of “Lullaby of Birdland,” but I thought that Brooke & Derek’s dance worked.
Cody looked really, really young with Edyta.
The team chacha was weird. I wasn’t sure if they were supposed to be in sync and weren’t or if they were supposed to be staggered and didn’t quite have the timing down and had bad camera angles. either way, it wasn’t pretty.
The team paso was.
I don’t need to see the hustle again, but I did like the team dances.
The Pros aren’t supposed to have any personality; that’s not their role. The stars are the personalities. Whether or not you support that viewpoint (and actually, I don’t - most of the pros are more interesting than most of the stars, and often bigger stars in their own right), I find Laci hugely obnoxious personally.
I think Brooke is just an athletic young woman with a natural bent for dancing. She may have had some ballet or something as a kid. I found it interesting that she was the worst of the women at acting in unison in the team dance, although the best dancer of the bunch. Not a team player, eh, sweetheart? Sorry, I admire her dancing, but I can’t like her - she just reminds me, completely unjustly and without foundation (for all I know, she’s a hardcore Obama activist!), of Sarah Palin. Today of all days, that’s not a good thing for me.
I had a friend calling me to cry on my shoulder about her job for the first half hour last night, so I could see, but not hear or keep track of or make sense of the first few dances, which included Warren, Maurice, and Susan at least. I saw that Warren didn’t score well, but I couldn’t even tell what he was dancing! What happened? Same with Maurice and Susan, only I don’t remember what they scored.
The results show is on tonight. I don’t usually watch it, since it’s on against The Mentalist (Simon Baker, swoon) – but tonight, the reprise dance is the group paso doble and they’re bringing back “Dance Center.” For anyone else who’s looking for mindless entertainment tonight …
OK, I missed it. Who went down?
