I’m a very smart guy. More to the point, I’m smarter than you are. I have a better grasp of logic and can construct and understand complex logical arguments. Perhaps I’m arrogant. It’s very tempting to be arrogant towards people such as yourselves, who seem to have actual contempt for someone that can actually think his way out of a wet paper bag.
I do not speak for everyone. I speak for myself. I express myself in declarative sentences (go look it up). I declare my position, my premises and the steps leading to a logical conclusion. You both do exactly the same thing (if you lack the intellectual capacity to read your own posts, I will be happy to quote sufficient examples and spell all this out in words of one syllable).

Please at least make a small effort to get your facts right. In the gun control thread Goodie, Another gun debate… I demanded not to be assumed an idiot because I disagreed with a position, a completely different proposition than demanding to be seen as intelligent.

Second, you’re unable to actually read. yosemitebabe who brought up slavery, not me. I said that the compulsion to test was contrary to my liberty; liberty is a much broader concept that merely lack of slavery. Neither have I used the argument about sexual activity (although it’s a good one). How did I manage to work slavery in there? I didn’t; if you were able to read you would have seen that your erstwhile ally worked it in there. It is the height of gross stupidity for one side of a to make a hyperbolic argument and then use that statement to accuse the other side of hyperbole.
Unless you’re a total idiot, and total idiots are rare, you can understand that defending myself against an infringement of my liberty is not the same as hyperbolically insisting that another holocaust is right around the corner.
And like yosemitebabe, I never said you don’t have a clear grasp of logic. But again, if the shoe fits, wear it.
I really can’t come to any other conclusion that the both of you are seriously mentally deficient. I have come to this conclusion not because you disagree with me, but because, as I have demonstrated, you appear to lack the ability to read, the ability to comprehend a simple logical argument, and an inability to tell the difference between an argument and an ad hominem attack.
I have consistently given the two of you the benefit of the doubt in this debate, assuming (apparently falsely) that you were not idiots merely because we disagreed. I have explained and defended my positions. I have refrained from direct personal attacks. I’m tiring of your attacks. I’m unable to decide if you cannot comprehend my arguments, cannot refute them, or you’re just complete assholes who prefer insults to rational debate. Either way, you’re becoming irritating and tiresome.
I’m posting this message in the Pit because I do understand that your level of intelligence has no more relevance to the actual drug testing argument than does your perception of my arrogance.
