Gotta disagree–Pfeiffer gave maybe the best performance by anyone in the first four Batman films. Jolie & Benz? Yeesh–they can only wish they could deliver half of what MP did in Batman Returns.
Wasnt Falcone already in Batman Begins (that movie left almost no traces in my mind, cant remember it well). Wasnt the mob boss in BB Falcone, I mean? He was a truly shitty character in the movie. And Eric Roberts while rather good wasnt anything near the Maroni of the comics.
Too bad, one of the achievements of Loeb and Sale is to have made the criminals at least as interesting as the Freaks.
Falcone had a lot of offspring, one of which might be surprising if they go that direction.
I remember how a lot of people said Heath Ledger was hopelessly miscast as the Joker, and the movie was going to suck on account of him. I’m going to wait and see before I pass judgement on Anne Hathaway’s Catwoman.

You know, I’m not at all sure that Catwoman will be in the movie, per se. They announced that Hathaway will be playing Selina Kyle, but she may not really don the Catwoman suit at all.
Most of the villains in the Nolan movies are not really costumed as such. Ra’s Al Ghul wore a suit. Joker had his makeup. Two face wore street clothes. Zzsazs wore street clothes in his brief appearance. Scarecrow did have the mask, but not all the time, just for a specific purpose.
She talked to Oprah about this. She said that she got the call to host the Oscars out of nowhere. She was waiting to hear if she was going to be Catwoman when they called, and she specifically said Catwoman.
