Tell her the truth: Her sister no longer exists. When she dies or you die, you won’t exist either.
If she (or anyone else with a different opinion) says youre wrong, tell her to prove it.
This type of bubble understanding that humans seem to accept are the most preposterous in the universe, and since I don’t know the universe, it’s a guess, I’ll admit. Maybe there’s some subterranian algae under the deep ice surface of Galthangian II that believes they’ll become worthy humans after they become donkeys. For me, that’s as admirable opinion of any human afterlife.
But if anyone, really anyone, thinks that some dopey human deserves an afterlife, or even wins one off an intergalactic lottery without their knowledge of even entering such a lottery, they shouldn’t be dating.
Why any human would deserve an existence of more than an earthly lifetime is the ultimate ago trip. More reason not to date.
:dubious: What’s wrong with wanting to live longer? Human lifespans are short. And wanting to live longer isn’t an “ego trip” at all. Assuming that you will because you or humanity in general is just so special is an ego trip, yes; but wanting to live longer isn’t.
Wanting to live longer?? Yes! Totally agree. This person’s sister is dead though, no? Therefore no existence.
It’s a shame our lives are short. Heck, 1,000 years would be short. But it’d be great if we believed we could shorten our aging, rather than thinking we exist as dust, souls, vapor, a glowing rod of carbon, etc., in some retarded afterlife we create.
