Straight woman, 51.

The most years older I’ve been is just a few months shy of 12 years
The most years younger than a partner was approximately 5 years.

22, woman was 27 or 28. Straight male. She seemed pretty old but entirely serviceable at the time. I don’t know how much younger a partner I’ve had was, but I think about 5 years or so seems about right.

Years older: 20
Years younger: 14

Straight male here.

18 years older (she was 46, I was 28)
16 years younger (she’s 24, I’m 40)

Younger-15 years. I was 34, he was 20. Olderer-I was 48 he was 78.
I am interested in the straight males here who have liked women much older, what were your ages, because I like a guy 20 years younger than me and wonder if there were any problems.
Female. Straight.

Straight female.
Older: 18
Younger: 18

What can I say - I’m nothing if not consistent.

I am 34 now, but when I was in my early twenties, I was interested and would have been receptive to any advances from a few women in their early 50s, but it wouldn’t have been appropriate because of their status as professors and mentors in my chosen field. Probably wouldn’t have lasted long, though, in several respects. But a woman who is an accomplished scholar and author and teacher whom I respected and with whom I had an intellectual relationship would not have been verboten – mutatis mutandis for your own situation.

Straight male.
Older than me: 10 years. I was 18, she was 28.
Younger than me: 14 years. I was 36, she was 22.

Gay male.

My partner is exactly 20 years younger than I am (same birthday).
In the past, I had gone with guys up to about 30 years older than I was. I really don’t care about someone’s age, either way.

In terms of actual relationships:

Older than me: 3 months
Younger than me: 2 years
Male
Straight

Even if you lop in more casual relationships, I think I may have gone a year or two older, and no more than three years younger.

Apparently, I date in a very narrow band.

Straight male, 43

Older: 6 months
Younger: 17 years

Straight male, 27.

Older: 10 years
Younger: 1 year

Younger: 4 years
Older: 2 years

Ever since becoming an adult, I generally feel like I am always at least couple years mentally younger than my physical age. Especially now that I’ve lost a couple years of my life to those stupid benzos.

Straight male, 50
SO older: 14 years for sure, once had a brief “thing” in my early 20s with someone probably 20+ years older (we never discussed her exact age)
SO younger: 7½ years (Mrs M.)

Straight woman - 47
Older? Same age - never dated an older man
Younger - he’s 15 years younger than me.

Younger: 16 years
Older: 5 years

Male 40
Straight

2 years younger, 17 years older. I’m happily partnered now but age is just a number… if I ever date again I wouldn’t hesitate to have relationships with much, much greater age differences. Biased towards older, probably, I tend to find people older than me much more interesting.

Female, 25
